Track Trouble!

In this Main Match, players must select minecarts to ride to cross a ravine to score points.

Designer(s): Zero Match Type: MM (for 13 players)
Featured in: Zero's Gambit

The game will consist of 9 rounds, and each round will have 2 crossings.

Each Round you will presented with a series of tracks with Minecarts chained together.

Players start on the south side of the ravine. (Bottom)

Each crossing you will have to choose between entering a Minecart to traverse the ravine, or activating a switch to change the path of the Minecarts.

In order for the minecart chain to move it requires each Minecart to be occupied.

If there are too many or too few people attempting to fill a minecart chain on a track, then those minecarts will not depart. If the right number of people enter, then those minecarts will depart and follow the tracks to the other side. Everyone occupying those minecart will score points based on the number at the destination.

Alternatively to choosing a minecart chain to board, you can choose to activate a switch to change the path the minecarts travel. The tracks of the matching colour to the switch will swap for every person who activates the switch. Switch activations resolve before minecarts depart. You can only activate a switch that is on the same side of the ravine as you. The tracks which are grey are deactivated, the minecart will take the alternative coloured track. Tracks flipped carry over into the 2nd crossing.

Each crossing you must choose a minecart chain to ride, or a switch to activate. If a minecart chain departs in the first crossing, it will not return, hence it cannot be used in the second crossing.

Players who do not cross will score 0 points for that round.
