DeathMatch 8: Hierarchy Rivalry
In this DeathMatch, players will attempt to psych each other out by creating favourable 2v2 matchups between 5 different combatants.
This game consists of 3 Bouts made up of 12 Rounds.
Players start the DeathMatch with 5 copies of 5 different Combatants which each have a different strength rating from 1 to 5.
These are the Rat (1), Crow (2), Lizard (3), Guardian (4), Monster (5)
Each Round you will place 1 of these onto the Hierarchy.
The Hierarchy is a board made up of 6 Battle Locations:
However for the duration of the bout information will be obscured.
In your first submission of a round, you will select 1 of the 6 locations to visit.
You will then be presented with the current state of the battle. Which Combatants each player has placed there so far.
In your second submission of the round, you will need to then submit one of your Combatants to join the battle, and which location to visit next.
You will repeat this process until you have placed 2 Combatants at each location.(This means you can only visit each location twice)
You will only know the state of a location by visiting it.
Players have 1 minute each round to submit, failure to do so results in losing 1 point with another 1 min to submit.
Afterwards we reveal the board and resolve each Battle for a Winner using the following rules:
Players score 1 point every time they:
For the last act of the Bout players will have 1 Combatant discarded from each player for each Battle:
For Bout 1, players will have 25 Combatants to divide between the 12 locations
For Bout 2, players will have 19 Combatants to divide between the 12 locations
For Bout 3, players will have 13 Combatants to divide between the 12 locations
The points earnt are tallied and revealed at the end of each Bout
The player who has more points at the end of the 3 Bouts will win the DeathMatch.
If there is a tie, whoever got more points in Bout 3 wins. (Followed by Bout 2)
If players tie in all 3 Bouts the DMO is declared the winner.
===================================================================
To Aid your understanding, if both players agree we will run a practice Bout which uses only 3 Battle locations
