DeathMatch 3: Renounce Fate
In this game, players will aim to choose a favourable set of community cards in order to win the round and take all of your opponents chips.
This game uses a deck of 20 cards. They feature 2 sets of the numbers 1 to 5 in Red and Yellow.
Each player starts the game with 30 chips.
Each round will have a starting player, for round 1 this is determined by the DeathMatch Opponent.
The winner of the previous round will start the bidding for the following round.
===================================================================
Before your Fate is Revealed:
At the start of each round each player will be dealt 2 cards privately to form their hand.
The only condition for these cards is that they you will not receive 2 identical cards.
Afterwards 9 cards are dealt publicly into 3 groups called "sets". These are known as "Fate Cards".
No Set will contain 2 Identical cards. The remaining 7 cards will not be used this Round.
Each player pays the Ante for the Round into the Pot.
This starts at 1 chip and increases by 1 chip every 5 rounds.
If you cannot afford the Ante you will place all your remaining chips in the Pot, and your opponent will match that amount.
In this case all betting actions are skipped for this round.
Beginning with the starting player, players alternate to perform one of the standard betting actions:
>> Raise: Increase the size of the pot, giving your opponent a chance to respond with one of these actions.
>> Call: Match your opponents last Raise, ending this section of the bidding.
>> Fold: Give up the hand. Your opponent wins all the chips in the pot and players hands are not revealed.
You cannot raise by more than 10 chips.
The Pot cannot exceed more than 30 chips, 15 chips from each player.
You cannot check as the leading player unless you have no remaining chips.
===================================================================
Renouncing your Fate:
After the first round of betting we move onto Renouncing the Fate Cards.
Each player has 40 seconds to privately submit 1 Fate Card to Renounce.
You must mention the Card and the Set it is from.
If both players pick different cards, they are both discarded from the pool of Fate Cards.
If both players pick the same card, then that card is considered locked and all other cards in the set are discarded from the pool of Fate Cards.
You may only select to Renounce a Fate Card from a Set with more than 1 card remaining.
Once a Group has 0 or 1 Card remaining it is considered locked and part of the final community cards.
We repeat this process until every Set has 0 or 1 card remaining.
The remaining Fate Cards will form the Community Cards for this round.
There could be 1, 2 or 3 Fate cards remaining at the end of this process.
===================================================================
After your Fate is Revealed:
Following this another round of betting occurs.
This follows the same format as outlined earlier.
The starting player for the round will start this round of betting also.
If a player calls then we reveal each players hands and evaluate who has the stronger hand and wins the round.
If 3 community cards remain, players compete for the best 4 card hand, in this case player's must use both their private cards in their final hand.
If 2 community cards remain, players compete for the best 3 card hand.
If 1 community card remains, players compete for the best 2 card hand, in this case player's must use the community card in their final hand.
The strength of a hand of cards depends on the the size of the hands being made:
Please note, that if a type of hand is not listed here, it has no ranking.
All card rankings in this list tiebreak with high card if both players make the same ranking.
E.g. A Hand of Red1233 loses to a Hand of Red1345
If players do not make any ranking, high card is not used and it would be considered a tie.
For example, a Pair is worth nothing in a 4 Card Hand and a Flush is worth nothing in a 3 Card Hand.
The player with the stronger Hand wins the round and all the chips in the Pot. They also become the starting player in the next round.
If players have hands of equal strength and one of the players has no chips remaining, then each player shares the Pot.
If players have hands of equal strength and both players still have chips remaining, then the chips are discarded from the rest of the match.
The Guardian who manages to win all the remaining chips win the DeathMatch.
The Guardian who runs out of chips first loses the DeathMatch and is Eliminated.
