MainMatch 3: Farmer's Fields

The Farmer was accidentally given a mixed bag seed last year, and now all the grown crops are mixed up.

Your goal is to help harvest his crops. Either obtaining the most of a single type, or the most of any type.

The farmer has 2 fields. The first is an 13x9 large field, and the second is a small 7x9 field.

Every space in these fields either contains:

• Crop: Leek

• Crop: Carrot

• Crop: Radish

• Obstacle: Stone

Each round, you can select 2 Regions to harvest.

As long as there exist all 3 types of crops in each field, you must assign 1 Region per Field.

Your regions can be of size 2,3,4 or 5, each of which comes with 2 arrangements.

The 2 regions you select each round must be of different size.

Once you use 1 arrangement, you may not use it again until you use the other of the same size.

Each player then attempts to harvest all crops within their selected Region.

We resolve who collects which crops in order of smallest to largest sized Regions.

If a crop is in two or more different players Regions, then whichever was the smaller sized region gets the crop.

If the Regions are the same size, the crop is not harvested (for that Regions size).

If your region contains a stone, the stone will be removed instead and you will not make an attempt to harvest any crops within your region.

If 5 or more Guardians attempt to harvest the same crop and none are successful, the crop is considered trampled and is removed.

You may place your Region over empty locations, if you do so nothing will happen on the space.

Invalid or missing submissions will result in not harvesting any crops for that Region.

At the end of each round:

The current status of the crops in the fields will be announced publicly.

Players will be privately told how many of each crop they have harvested.

Results:

The game ends when there is a round where at least 3 Guardians (who all submitted) fail to harvest any crops.

There are 3 ways for a Guardian to win this MainMatch:

Quality Goal: Collect the most of a single type of resource:

Here your score is 3 points for each your most common crop, with -1 for your second most common, and -2 for your third most common.

The player with the highest score earns a Token of Life.

If there is a tie between 2 players, they both earn a Token of Life.

If there is a tie between more than 2 players, the player with less negative crops are rated higher.

If there is still a tie between more than 2 players, we check who was leading in the previous rounds.

Quantity Goal: Collect the most of any type of resource:

Here you score is 1 point per crop.

The player with the highest score earns a Token of Life.

If there is a tie between 2 players, they both earn a Token of Life.

If there is a tie between more than 2 players, the player with the higher Median between their 3 crop types is rated higher.

If there is still a tie between more than 2 players, we check who was leading in the previous rounds.

Average Goal: Collect the highest average between the Quality & Quantity Goal.

The sum of the previous two conditions, divided by 2.

If there is a tie between 2 players, they both earn a Token of Life.

If there is a tie between more than 2 players, the player who removed more rocks is rated higher.

If there is still a tie between more than 2 players, we check who was leading in the previous rounds.

If exactly 3 players obtain Tokens of Life via the above goals, they may collectively vote for 1 more Guardian to receive a Token of Life.

At the end of the game, everyone's scores for these 3 objectives will be revealed.

The loser of the MainMatch is the Guardian with the lowest rated for the Average Goal.

If this is a tie, the player who has a lower score between Quantity or Quality Goals is the elimination candidate.

If this is still a tie, the players who obtained a Token of Life will vote for the elimination candidate.

If there is still a tie, we check who was losing in the previous rounds.
