Death Match: Square Route Bomb Party

This game is a combination of Square Route, a Death Match played in Gold's Genius Game, and Number Bomb Party, which was used in Main Match 7 of Gold's Genius Game.

The game will take place over 8 rounds. Each round, a new 8x8 square board is shown with each square containing a number from 1-9 or a symbol of +, -, x, or /. The DMO will decide who will go first in round 1, and the loser of each round will go first on every round after.

At the start of each round, players are given 1 minute to study the board. After, a target number will be given and the player that goes first must spell out an equation that equals that target number before time runs out. The restrictions of the equation are as follows:

  1. The equation must be made from squares within the board on a consecutive route, where the starting tile is a number a number and a route can be drawn where every square within is only used once and is adjacent to the last one. It must also end on a number.

  1. It has not been called out before.

When you go over 2 numbers consecutively in your route, the numbers will concatenate (EX: If you go over 1 and 2, it will be counted as 12 for the equation). If you go over 2 symbols in a row, the equation is considered invalid.

If the equation reaches the target number and is valid, then the player that called it scores points equal to the amount of squares it went over, and the turn order is passed on. If the player fails to name a valid equation in time or states an invalid equation, they will lose 10 points and the round will end.

Players will have 30 seconds per turn, with no reserve time. The game will not be paused mid round for any circumstances. If 5 turns pass for each player in a round, the timer will be shortened to 15 seconds.

At the end of 8 rounds, whichever player has more points will be the winner. If there are ties, whichever player made the last successful move wins.

EXAMPLE: Assuming the target number was 73 on this board, 63 + 5 x 2 would be considered a valid equation of 6, as it does not go over the same tile twice, creates a connected path, and equals 73 after PEMDAS.

AMENDMENT: Lower points will go first instead of the loser.
