Channel Hopping

In this game, you must manage your time and attention answering in 6 different channels every minute.

Each channel will consist of a different task that you must complete to score points. A new task will be posted every 90 seconds. The game will last for a total of 27minutes. The player with the most points at the end wins. There is no penalty for answering incorrectly for the first 3 tasks listed. There is no penalty for not submitting for the first 5 tasks listed. The tasks are the following:

FIVE:

You will be presented with 2 or 3 words. You must post the 5 letter word that is related to these words. The first person to correctly post the answer will score a point. A new set of words will be posted at the start of each minute.

INTEGER:

You will presented with a question with a numerical answer. You must post an integer from 0 to 100 (inclusive) that answers the question. The first person to post the correct answer will score a point. A new question will be posted at the start of each minute.

ANIMAL:

You will presented with a question with a one word answer. You must post the name of an animal that answers the question. The first person to post the correct answer will score a point. A new question will be posted at the start of each minute.

COLLECTION:

You will be presented with a category. Every minute you must provide an answer that fits the category. Posting an answer that has previously been given by either player will be considered incorrect. Each player will score a point for each correct answer. Players will lose a point for each incorrect answer. There is no penalty for not answering. Players submit an answer once every minute. A new category will be posted at the start of rounds 1, 7 and 13. (So each player will need to provide 6 words for each category to score max points in this task)

GYUL HAP:

You will be presented with a Gyul hap board. You must either answer 3 numbers that form a hap, or call out gyul each round. Each player will score a point for each correct hap, and 2 points for each correct Gyul. Each board will contain at least 5 haps, and a new board will be posted at the start of every 3 rounds, regardless whether gyul has been correctly called. (1,4,7,...). Players submit a new answer once every minute. Players will lose a point if they incorrectly call gyul or provide 3 numbers that don’t form a hap, or have already been given. There is no penalty for not answering.

BLACK AND WHITE:

Both players will play a game of black and white during the DM. The DM player with the advantage will choose who starts. Each player will post a number in their channel. I will announce the results at the start of each minute. If you fail to provide a number, or provide a number you have already played, you will automatically put out a 0.

The winner will score 8 points. If the game ends in a tie, neither player will score. You will need to submit once every 2 rounds, but the minute you must submit in is dictated by the outcome of the last tile battle. The player who won the last tile battle will put up a tile first. A marker for when to submit will be placed after each tile battle. If you are to post second in a round, you may post before seeing the colour of your opponents tile.

For all the above, do not submit until you have seen me either post a new question (first 3 tasks), or a round marker (last 3 tasks). I will be posting in the order from the top down, aiming for simultaneous posts. There may be a slighter longer delay for B&W depending on when the other player posts due to calcs/recording info. This shouldn’t be more than 15 seconds, so recommend not providing your answer for this first.

For Animal and Collection, there is some legroom for misspelling, but it must be clearly recognisable. Please do not repost or edit to attempt to make corrections.

Gyul Hap will feature the standard Red Yellow Blue, Circle Square Triangle, Black Grey White Images from its first appearance

For each task, your first post will be considered your answer, whether or not it is valid. Do not edit or delete submissions.

Do not post more than once in a thread each minute. (Between each marker)

If you do you will suffer a 1 point penalty.

The winning player will be calculated at the end of the 18 minutes, and there will be no notification of whether an answer is correct.

If you need to know the rules to either black and white or gyul hap from the show, you may ask and I will provide details.

In the case of a tie, the player who won black and white will be declared the winner.

If black and white tied, the DM player with the advantage will be declared the winner.

The player with more garnets will have the DM advantage.
