In this Main Match, play in various minigames to raise your odds of earning a Token of Life and lower your odds of being EC.

Designer(s): Zero Match Type: MM (for 6 players)
Featured in: The Genius: Tempo Up

In this MainMatch, players will attempt to change their odds obtaining a Token of life or being in the DeathMatch.

During the game players will each have two percentages that they will have to balance:

• Chance of obtaining a Token of Life (ToL%)

• Chance of becoming the Elimination Candidate (EC%)

% Chance of obtaining a Token of Life

This starts at 10% at the start of the MainMatch.

This has a starting cap of 50%.

If a player increases their % above their cap their new total becomes 10% + the excess.

The cap is then increased by 10%, up to 4 times. (Maximum of 90%)

For example, the first time it increases by 10% to 60%.

You aim is to Maximize this value.

% Chance of becoming the Elimination Candidate

This starts at 90% at the start of the MainMatch.

This has a starting cap of 50%.

If a player decreases their % below their cap their new total becomes 90% - the excess.

The cap is then decreased by 10%, up to 4 times. (Minimum of 10%)

For example, the first time it decreases by 10% to 40%.

You aim is to Minimize this value.

At the end of the MainMatch, these numbers will determine who our winners and loser are.

All % chances are rounded to the nearest whole number before being added to net difference and your totals.

Changes to probabilities are added based on the net difference from all sources.

Any changes to a player’s caps from sources other than adding the net difference happen first.

There are 5 ways to change your luck:

  1. Probability Auction
  2. Odds and Ends Shop
  3. Prospective Trading
  4. Lucky Dice
  5. Garnet Augmentations

This are outlined in their respective channels.

Players start with 40 coins, and gain 30 coins at the start of rounds 2 and 3.

You must spend at least 20 coins per round.

At the end of the MainMatch, we will determine which players receive a Token of Life, and then which of the remaining players becomes the Elimination Candidate.

Starting with the player with the highest % chance of a Token of life, we roll a d100.

If the result is below their % chance, they earn 1 tally.

We then repeat going down the line until every player has had a go.

We then go back to the start and keep repeating down the players building up their tally.

Once a player reaches a tally of 3, they secure a Token of Life.

Once 3 players have secured a Token of Life we stop.

In the case of tied probabilities, we roll the d100 “simultaneously”.

If this would result in more than 3 players getting a Token of Life, we discard those rolls, and roll again.

Players who secure a Token of Life earn 1 Garnet.

Now we reset the tally and do a similar process for determining the Elimination Candidate with the non ToL players.

Starting with the player with the highest % chance of becoming EC, we roll a d100.

If the result is below their % chance, they earn 1 tally.

We then repeat going down the line until every player has had a go.

We then go back to the start and keep repeating down the players building up their tally.

Once a player reaches a tally of 3, they become the Elimination Candidate and we stop.

In the case of tied probabilities, we roll the d100 “simultaneously”.

If this would result in more than 1 player getting becoming the Elimination Candidate, we discard those rolls, and roll again.

At the end of each round, everyone's ToL% , EC% and remaining coins are announced.
