Group Min: checkmatetang versus Ridley-C
There's the boundary of life and death... But which side is which?
Non-Death Match players, you take part in this Death Match.
Non-DM players will start by submitting an integer between 0 and 4 inclusive. Players that do not submit are considered to submit 0. The sum of the integers in each group is computed, say S. This sum is not disclosed.
The Death Match players in the respective groups will now try to guess the value of S. One player will be designated as the Boundary Setter, which provides a value B, the boundary. The other player will be designated as the Side Setter, which will choose a side, either (-∞,B) or (B,∞), as the side of life. The Side Setter wins if S is within the side they pick, otherwise the Boundary Setter wins. (Thus if the Boundary Setter manages to select B to be exactly the value of S, they win instantly.)
Note that the two groups are completely separate for this game; nothing affects the other group. The players picked by the Elimination Candidates, FlakeLCR and Ridley-C, will get the pick of being the Boundary Setter or Side Setter. You will be told which people submitted before making your decision.
Example: The integers are 0, 0, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, thus the sum is 14.
Also see this illustration by Yoshi, who said "the game is really simple since my friend figured out all the rules from just the image".

Non-Death Match players, you have 72 hours to make your submissions. This includes time for everyone to ask questions, ally, and make their strategy.
