In this game, players will dance like a monkey to determine hidden dance rules.
This game has a 15-minute pre-game phase, and then takes place over 100 minutes.
Players will receive bananas throughout the game and they may be used to submit a dance or guess a hidden rule.
Once the game starts, each player will start with 9 bananas. At every 20 minute interval, players will receive 4 bananas.
0 minutes: Each player receives 9 bananas. 20 minutes: Each player receives 4 bananas. 40 minutes: Each player receives 4 bananas. 60 minutes: Each player receives 4 bananas. 80 minutes: Each player receives 4 bananas. 100 minutes: Game ends
Bananas are not transferable.
A player may spend 1 garnet to buy 2 bananas.
If a player submits a dance or makes a guess when they have no bananas, they will lose 1 point for each submission.
Players may spend a banana to submit a dance. A dance (which is typed in your submissions channel) consists of the text "!dance" and 1-5 dance moves. A dance move consists of a direction (U/D/L/R) and a distance (a positive integer up to 100).
After the dance, you will be told which rules were violated. There are 14 hidden rules.
Example: !dance D1 D1 D1 D1 D1
The specific formatting of your submission doesn't matter as long as you start with the prefix !dance and submit a direction and corresponding distance. We will accept "!dance d1, d1, d1, d1, d1" for example and it will be considered equivalent.
Players may spend a banana to guess a hidden rule (typed in submissions channel beginning with !guess and the rule number). The first to guess correctly receives 10 points. The second receives 7 points. The third receives 5 points. The fourth receives 3 points. After a rule has been successfully guessed by four players, the rule is publicly revealed and no more guesses are accepted for that rule.
If you guess a rule incorrectly, you may pay one garnet to receive a counterexample of a dance that violates the rule but follows your guess or a dance that violates your guess but follows the rule (it will be specified which).
At the end of the game, each player's point count and all the hidden rules are revealed.
The player with the most points wins two Tokens of Life. If there is a tie, all tied players win one Token of Life each.
The player with the least points is the Elimination Candidate.
The winner receives 2 garnets.
Any player who has submitted a correct guess on the most rules receives 1 garnet.
