In this game, players will aim to make the best quattro’s.

This game uses cards with colours: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.

Each card additionally has a number from 0 to 10.

If a card would be increased to a number above 10, it is set to 10 instead.

If a card would be reduced to a number below 0, it is set to 0 instead.

Cards with a value of 0 are colourless, and can be used in forming a Quattro acting as a wild card.

Effects that affect the colour of a 0 card do not take place.

Immediately after a 0 card increases in value, it's owner may choose its new colour.

At the start of the game, both players are given 8 cards.

They each are given a 1 card and a 2 card of each colour.

At the start of each round, a circular board with 7 slots is presented to each player, labelled A-G.

Each slot will have an effect that happens at the end of the round.

Some effects will require player submissions to resolve, while others are automatic.

Each player will be dealt 2 of their 8 cards privately.

They must choose one of these cards to place into 1 of the 7 slots.

Players will have 1 minute to do this. Failure to submit results in a random card in a random slot.

Afterwards what each player placed and where will be revealed.

Players will then be dealt 1 more of their cards.

We will repeat this process until a card has been placed into every slot.

Afterwards we resolve all effects in a clockwise order starting with A at the top.

Any cards that require a player submission will have a 1 minute timer.

After this is done, we will compare each players Quattro Loop.

Each players scoring Quattro will be the highest total of 4 cards that are consecutive around the loop that all have do not have duplicate numbers and colours.

If a player is unable to make a Quattro, the other player will score 1 point.

If both players make a valid Quattro, the player with the higher total will score 1 point.

If each players Quattro sums to the same total, each player will earn 0.5 points.

Afterwards all 8 cards are re-shuffled with their changes applied from the last round maintained.

A new circular board will be presented with different effects for the next round.

The first player to have at least 5 points wins.

If both players reach it at the same time, the DMO wins.

Each slot will have an effect that resolves either immediately or happens at the end of the round.

Those with a white background on the effect and a grey colour for the card slot will resolve at the end of the round, in the same style as the original DM.

Those with a purple background on the effect and card slot will resolve immediately. Any that require a submission will have a 1 minute timer

After Round 7, instead of players being re-given their adjusted cards they will be given a new set of cards.

This set of cards will be each players unplayed card from each of the previous 7 rounds, with a 0 card.

This set of cards will be different for each player, so you will need to manage when to play and when to preserve your cards.

The first player to have at least 5 points wins.

If both players reach it at the same time, rounds will continue to be played until 1 player has the lead. That player will be declared the winner.

Final Match Advantage:

At the start of Round 2, the player with the advantage has their unplayed card from Round 1 increased by 1.

Note that the card that returns during Round 8's new set will not have this +1.

Notes:

Effects can only target opponents cards if specified.

Effects that say "any card" means you can target either your own card or your opponents cards.

0's can be used multiple times in a Quattro, so 0,0,1,2 is a valid quattro as long as 1 and 2 are different colours.

Addition that was part of original DM that I forgot to include:

In the first submission of each round, players will have 2 minutes instead.

More notes after doing a scan through for clarity:

If an effect refers to a position being Empty, it means that a card has yet to be played there.

If an immediate effect refers to a position that doesn't contain a card (aka is Empty), any effects involving the space without the card do not go off.

For example, if an effect said "+1 to A, +1 to B", and there was card on A but not B, then the effect on A resolves but the effect on B doesn't.

If an effect said "swap A and B", and there was card on A but not B, then nothing would happen.

If 2 players activate an immediate effect at the same time, they resolve in alphabetical order. If the same letter, they resolve simultaneously.

If an effect refers to clockwise or anticlockwise, it means the next card from the effect's position in that direction. This can be the same card if only 1 card is played.

If an effect refers to Max or Min, it means the card with highest / lowest value. If this is a tie, we resolve in alphabetical order.

If Min is prefaced by "Non Zero", it means the lowest value that isn't zero.

If an effect refers to Adjacent cards, it will ignore gaps (aka empty locations).

For example, if there were cards on A and D, and B had the immediate effect "Give Adjacent Cards +1", A and D would get +1 while C doesn't have a card on it.
