Poll Mine

In this Main Match, work with your team to guess what the highest ranked answers were on the poll. (Original design by Jackbox Games)

Designer(s): Non-original Game Match Type: MM (for 6 players)
Featured in: The Genius: Code Red

F6: Poll Mine

This game is basically a ripoff of a Jackbox game of the same name.

⚠️ This is a limited communication game. From now on and until the end of the MM all communication has to be in #player-lounge

In addition to the above, players are asked not to edit or delete messages. Editing a silly offtopic joke is ok, but deleting a message with a player ping and important info is not. What is and isn’t fine will be decided on a case by case basis, with most things decided as not fine.

📖 -- Rules -- 📖

Pregame

✏️ During pregame, players submit one player they want to be teamed up with.

At the deadline, players will be split into 2 teams of 3 according to the submissions.

The exact procedure of team making isn’t revealed; but higher priority means you’re more likely to be paired up with who you asked.

✏️ Players will also be sent some personality questions in the submissions channel. Answer these questions however you like.

Your submissions for pregame will not be revealed, even at the end of the game, but you may discuss what you submitted.

All answers are collected and are weighted. The highest item on a person’s list is given 8 points, and every next item is worth 1 point less. If you don’t include some of the options, those options will be worth 0 points.

For each answer, the weightings from all players are summed and answers are ranked from highest to lowest using this sum. The resulting list will be used during the game and is hidden from the players.

Rounds

The game is split into 4 rounds, each lasting a day. At the start of each round, a random team and a random question will be picked. Each team will be picked twice and all questions will be picked once.

✏️ During a round, the picked team should guess what the highest ranked answer is for the question.

The not picked team guesses the 2nd, 3rd and 4th highest ranked answers.

:Garnet: Players may pay 4 garnets to learn 1 answer that’s not among the top 4. You may only do this once per round. Players of the same team will always receive different answers.

⚠️ To minimize players playing around the deadline and switching submissions last minute, players will get garnets based on how early they submit.

Players are ranked based on submission time. The player with the earliest submission gets 10 garnets and every next player gets 2 garnets less than the previous one. Last player to submit gets no garnets.

Players are awarded points based on how close they were to the correct answer.

Players of the picked team get 3 points if their guess is correct, 2 points if their guess is the 2nd highest, 1 point if it’s 3rd highest and no points otherwise.

Players of the not picked team get 1 point for every guess that is correct.

Teams’ scores are revealed every round.

Game End

The game ends after 4 rounds and the scores are revealed.

:Token: All members of the team with the most points get 1 ToL.

:EC: The player with the least points on the losing team becomes EC.

:Garnet: Garnets

Garnets can be gained the following way:

  • Submitting early.

Garnets can be lost the following way:

  • Seeing which answer is wrong.

📌 Tiebreaks

  • If a number of points for an option is tied, both options take up both spots. For example, if Code Red and Tempo Up both have 20 points, and that's the most points, both answers will be considered correct for 1st place answer and 2nd place answer.
  • If two options tie for 4th, both options count.
  • If teams tie for points, the team with highest priority wins.
  • If there is a tie for EC, winning team chooses.
