In this Main Match, climb the company pyramid despite limited communication to make the most money.

Designer(s): RedsToad Match Type: MM (for 11 players)
Featured in: Master Of All Trades

This MM has limited communication. From this point and until the end of this Main Match you may not use alliance chats, but you can use the player lounge.

--

The goal of this main match is to earn the most money by getting promoted with minimal effort.

This game will be played on a 11x11 triangular board like in a pictured under the rules.

At the start of the game all players will be put on LVL1 in random positions*.

At the start of the game all players will be given $15 to be invested in the company.

Players will not know any of the initial placements and only info they will learn between the rounds is the salary, the salaries of the adjacent cells, and whether the adjacent cells are occupied.

If you are on the edge, you will know as you will only have 1 place you can go.

--

The game is divided into 11 rounds. Every round all players still in the game will submit whether they want to go top-left or top-right onto the next layer, and how much money they want to invest into the company. Failure to submit will result in you getting fired

At the end of the round, all investments are taken and the players move to their selected cell. If two people want to move to the same cell, the player who has invested more in this round will advance. The other player will be fired. If both players who want to go to the same cell invest the same amount they are both fired.

All players left on the board will receive their salary. Your salary equals the number in your cell and is added to the amount of money you have left.

--

All fired players are out of the game and are taken off the board. Who was fired is not announced. Fired players are unable to get salary, but they are still able to collect money.

If they correctly predict who gets fired at the end of the round they get $2 for each player they predicted correctly.

--

The game ends when there is only 1 player left on the board.

The player with the most money at the end of the game is the winner. If there are multiple players with the most money they become joint winners.

The player with the least money at the end of the game is the loser. If there are multiple players with the least money they become joint losers.

Giftable items

  • Money. It is referred to as “$X”, where X is a natural number.
  • Position on the board. Those are referred to as “[Name]’s position”. If you are off the board, we will append “(fired)” to your position.

Updates are based on these items, which means that if you hold Zero’s position and Red’s position then you will receive 2 image updates and may submit for both players.

As all alliance chats are closed, there is no trading.

--

The player who reaches the top of the pyramid will receive a Magnifying Glass

--

The Players who got the MM3 Advantage Items, may choose who starts in 2 locations.

Advantage A will choose a player to go in each A location.

Advantage B will choose a player to go in each B location.

If the same player is chosen, that person is randomised and the selected positions are also randomised.

The small numbers are the Salary for the cell.

--

Here is an example of a post you would receive:

Here you can see that the space to the right is occupied

and the space to the left is empty

They Grey means there is no Room there, and the black means there is, but you can't see it's contents.

--

24 hours pregame, then starting images will be released.

Clarification: 0 is a valid bid.

Edge case: If everyone scores the same then the person with the disadvantage loses. No ToLs are distributed

Amendment: While fired, guessing a person that is not getting fired will result in a $1 penalty.

You may guess as many players as you want in a single round

Amendment: Only thing that is revealed at the end of the game is how much money everyone has and whether the player has gained a Magnifying Glass

--

Amendment: if you do not hold a “player placement” you are considered fired. Once a player is fired from losing against another for investing in a room the corresponding player placement is removed instead of renamed.

When guessing a player is fired during the round, you are guessing that they will clash with somebody else and have invested less or equal to the person they clashed with. Or that they didn’t submit.

Extending this rounds deadline by 24 hours because of ambiguity and notifications

There is no longer “player position fired”

Fired players guess a player that will lose a player position this round
