Outfoxed 🦊 🦊 🦊 🦊 🦊 🦊 🦊

Outfoxed uses a 60-card deck of 6 different color foxes.

10 Brown Foxes

10 Black Foxes

10 Red Foxes

10 Pink Foxes

10 White Foxes

10 Yellow Foxes

Players will use their cards to outnumber and outfox their opponents, in a bluffing game where they try to push their favored animals over the finish line.

Set Up

At the beginning of the game, each player will secretly choose three cards to take out of the deck.

These cards can be any combination of color foxes, and you can take multiple foxes of the same color.

If both players take the exact same set of foxes, we will reveal what players took and ask them to pick foxes again (putting all foxes back into the deck.

These cards will be used for scoring at the end of the game.

The Game

A game of Outfoxed consists of a series of rounds, with each player having nine turns in a round. There is no limit to the number of rounds Outfoxed might have.

In the first round, the DMO (Sixela) chooses who goes first. Otherwise, the first turn alternates between players.

At the beginning of each round, the first player to go is dealt 12 cards, while the second player is dealt 10.

Your Turn

On your turn...

Place a fox face-down on any number square on the dealer's table.

Declare what color fox it's supposed to be, placing a color chip on the back of the card.

Then, you may either pass and allow your opponent to take their turn or "call" the card that your opponent previously placed on a square.

If you call that card....

Flip the fox card face up. If your opponent lied about what color fox it was, remove the color chip on its card. You can place whatever color chip you'd like on that card instead.

If your opponent was telling the truth, flip your card face-up.

Your opponent can place whatever color token they'd like on that animal.

Either way, your turn ends.

Round End

On turn 9, the second player to go will play their ninth card face-up - they cannot lie about this card.

Then, when both players have taken 9 turns, one more special turn will take place. During the special turn, both players will choose somewhere to play a card face-up simultaneously (the second player will only have one card left).

After that, the round is over. If a fox has a color chip on it, it is considered to be that color.

The fox whose most numerous on the number space moves that number of spaces. If multiple animals tie for the highest count, then the next-highest quantity animal moves instead. If all animals on the space are tied, no animal moves.

The fox who "won" the 1 space will move first, then the fox who "won" the 2 space, and finally the fox who "won" the three space.

Game Ending

The game ends when one fox lands on the finish square (square 6). The game finishes immediately - any other foxes that would have moved later during that round do not move.

Players will flip each of their cards face-up. They score as many points as the number of spaces that fox advanced in the race (end space is six points). If you have multiple of the same color fox, you score multiple points.

The player who scores the most points wins the deathmatch, earns two garnets and advances to the final.
