Outscaled ⚖️ ⬆️
Outscaled is a simple pyschological team game where players will try to outwit the other team, or one another.
Team Drafting Round 🧑🧒🧒
Players are divided into two teams of three, the "Red Team" and the "Blue Team."
Both team captains will submit a "draft" of players to join their team (ranking all six players). These teams of three people will be revealed in the next round.
The captain with the most garnets will "pick" first. The order of the picks won't be revealed.
Scale Rounds ⚖️
After the team drafting round, teams will compete to earn "balance stickers" and points for each scale.
On the first round, there will be scales 1, 2, and 3...
On the second round, there will be scales 4, 5, and 6...
On the third round, there will be scales 7, 8 and 9.
Each scale will have two plates. One plate will be the "Red Plate" (for the Red Team) and a "Blue Plate" (for the Blue Team).
Each scale starts balanced with one weight each on both plates.
Every player starts the game with ten weights. In a given round, they can place any number of weights on any scale, on any plate.
After players decide where to place their weights each round, we evaluate the balance of the scales.
Each scale is "worth" the same amount of points as the scale's number.
✅ If the number of weights on both sides of a sale are equal, then all players contributing to that scale receive the same number of "balance stickers" as the scale number. Teams split the points on the scale.
✅ If the difference between the amount of weights on either side are more than the scale's number, the scale breaks. All players contributing to the scale receive the same number of "balance stickers" as the scale number. Teams split the points of the scale. For example, if the difference between sides is on scale 1 is greater than 1, the scale will break. If the difference between sides on scale 2 is greater than 2, the scale will break... etc.
✅ If the number of weights on both sides are different and the scale doesn't break, then the team with the most weight on their color plate earns that number of points
The outcome for each scale will be publicly announced, though the amount of weight on each scale will remain unknown.
Distribution of balance stickers will also be announced.
Endgame ♟️
The game ends when either team reaches 22.5 points., and the team with the most points wins.
If neither team reaches 22.5 points, the game will end after the third round, with the team with the most points winning.
The player(s) with the most balance stickers on the winning team receive 2 tokens of life.
The player(s) with the least balance stickers on the losing team goes to the death match.
Players will receive 1 garnet for each balance sticker they gained, for up to three balance stickers.
If the two teams are tied in points, then teams are disregarded. Then, the player(s) with the most balance stickers wins, and the player with the least balance stickers lose.
Garnet Spending
You may purchase an additional weight for three garnets.
Each player may only purchase up to two additional weights.

If all three scales are balanced or broken in a single round, the prize pool will rise by $10.
