Hello, DJ was our 7th eliminated player. Garnet counts have been updated in #garnet-counts.
The next Main Match is The Genius Simulator. In this Main Match, we will do a simulation of 11 MMs and DMs of The Genius Program. Each player will be given 2 bots that take the roles of players, and they must find a way to bring those bots to the finals by correctly programming them and specifying how they will act.
There are a total of 13 bots. Each bot will have its own codename. 2 codenames will be randomly and privately assigned to each player. Additionally, Kiryu-bot will be created by the dealers.
List of codenames:
Kiryu-bot
Haruka-bot
Majima-bot
Daigo-bot
Nishiki-bot
Kazama-bot
Ryuji-bot
Kaoru-bot
Date-bot
Saejima-bot
Akiyama-bot
Tanimura-bot
Shinada-botBot Creation Phase
At the start of the Main Match, you will be given 48 hours to create your 2 bots. The following factors are required to consider when creating a bot: Primary Attributes, Specializations, and Programming Conditions.
Primary Attributes & Specializations
There are 9 primary attributes. Players have 900 points, which must be distributed among these primary attributes. At most one primary attribute may have a 0 score.
For each primary attribute, players must also pick one of two specializations. Each primary attribute has 2 specializations listed, from which each player must pick one. Specializations serve as potential positive multipliers when tallying scores in MMs and DMs.
List of primary attributes [and specializations in brackets]
Charisma [Persuasion, Charm]
Intelligence [Knowledge, Conceptualization]
Wisdom [Psyche, Wits]
Perception [Awareness, Alertness]
Luck [RNG Bless, Intuition]
Skill [Mental, Social]
Memory [Spatial, Studious]
Logic [Reasoning, Understanding]
Relationship [Cooperative, Competitive]Programming Conditions
Your bots now have to be programmed on how they operate when they are given a choice of either distributing a ToL, picking an Elimination Candidate, or picking a Death Match Opponent. When creating programming conditions, you may use codenames, primary attributes, specializations, and the game state (past MM winners, MM losers, DM losers, current round, etc.) to create conditions. If no condition can be met, the pick will be randomized.
Example Bot
Here is an example bot with attributes, specializations, and programming conditions. Numbers are arbitrary, this is just to demonstrate the format.
Attributes:
Charisma: 120 [Charm]
Intelligence: 70 [Knowledge]
Wisdom : 50 [Psyche]
Perception: 130 [Awareness]
Luck: 110 [Intuition]
Skill: 100 [Mental]
Memory: 70 [Spatial]
Logic: 150 [Reasoning]
Relationship: 100 [Competitive]ToL Programming:
[1] Give the ToL to Kiryu-bot
[2] Give the ToL to the player with the highest CharismaEC Programming:
[1] Out of the bots who won the previous main match, choose the bot with the least Memory
[2] Out of the bots with a Competitive specialization in Relationship, choose the bot with the least RelationshipDMO Programming:
[1] Out of the bots that have not been to a death match, choose the bot with the lowest Logic attribute
[2] Choose the bot that won the most previous Main MatchesSimulation Rounds
There will be a total of 11 Main Matches and 11 Death Matches. They will be divided up into 3 rounds. Here is how the Main Match will progress.
Prior to R1: Bot Creation Phase (48 hours)
Simulation Round 1: Main Match 1 to Death Match 4
Intermission 1: Readjusting Phase (24 hours)
Simulation Round 2: Main Match 5 to Death Match 8
Intermission 2: Readjusting Phase (24 hours)
Simulation Round 3: Main Match 9 to Death Match 11
Each simulated Main Match and Death Match will use the bots' attributes to determine who will win the Main Match and Death Match. A round works in the following manner:
Main Match Win Condition
A score is calculated for each bot based on up to 3 of their primary attributes and specializations, and based on this score, a group of main match winners is selected. The number of bots in the winning group is predetermined for each Main Match. If there are ties that determine if a bot will be in the winning group of not, this will be randomized. Bots that win a main match will receive 1 Pyrite.
Main Match Lose Condition
For the players that did not win the main match, a score is calculated for each bot based on up to 3 of their primary attributes and specializations (not necessarily the same ones). Based on this score, a group of main match losers is selected. The number of bots in the losing group is predetermined for each Main Match. If there are ties that determine if a bot will be in the losing group of not, this will be randomized.
EC Picking
If there is only one Main Match loser, this bot is automatically the Elimination Candidate. If there are multiple Main Match losers, each main match winner will choose an Elimination Candidate from the group of Main Match losers based on their programming conditions. If they are not able to pick an EC based on their programming, the pick is randomized. If there are multiple bots in the Main Match winning group, each bot's pick is a vote, and majority vote decides EC. If there is a tie in votes, it is randomized between players that tied.
ToL Distribution
If there is a single winner bot, a non-EC player is picked based on programming conditions to receive a Token of Life. If a bot cannot be picked by programming, it will be randomized which bot gets the ToL. If there are multiple Main Match winners or if it is MM10/MM11, no ToL distribution happens.
DMO Picking
The bot that is EC will pick a player based on programming conditions to receive a Token of Life. If a bot cannot be picked by programming, it will be randomized which bot is the DMO.
Death Match
A score is calculated for each bot based on up to 3 of their primary attributes and specializations, and based on this score, a death match winner is selected. The bot that wins the death match will receive 1 Pyrite, and the bot that loses the Death Match will be eliminated from The Genius Simulation. The creator of the bot will be publicly announced.
Readjusting Phase
Between Simulation Phases, there will be 2 phases where players may make adjustments to their bots. In each Readjusting Phase, all players with at least 1 bot remaining in the game will be given 3 Respec Coins that they can use in that phase. Respec Coins are not tradable, and Respec Coins from Readjusting Phase 1 cannot be saved for Readjusting Phase 2. More Respec Coins can be purchased with Garnets (see below). Respec Coins may be used for one of the following actions on one of their own bots:
(1) Reallocate up to 100 points
(2) Change up to 2 specializations
(3) Reprogram ToL, EC, or DMO picking
Note: If a player has 2 bots in play, they must choose between their bots for each Respec Coin use. The same option can be chosen more than once (ex. using 3 respec coins to reallocate up to 300 points).
Hints
Each player will be given hints that pertain to the Main Matches and Death Matches. There are 6 hints in each distribution phase. Each player with at least 1 bot remaining in the simulation will receive 1 hint randomly. If there are leftover hints, they are purchasable for 2 garnets each and can only be bought by one person. It will be announced if a player buys a hint, but not which player.
Additionally, there are 3 premium hints that are available for purchase. These hints apply to the entire Main Match. These hints cost 4 garnets and are one-time only. When a premium hint is purchased, it is announced publicly which player bought the premium hint. These premiums are limited to 1 per person.
Hint Set A will be distributed in the Bot Creation Phase and will refer to MM1-DM4.
Hint Set B will be distributed in Intermission 1 and will refer to MM5-DM8.
Hint Set C will be distributed in Intermission 2 and will refer to MM9-DM11.
Garnet Purchases
You may use garnets for the following:
Winning The Genius Simulation
After the simulated DM11, the last 2 remaining bots will be considered the winners of The Genius Simulation. The creators of all bots will be revealed, and the creators of the 2 surviving bots will be considered the winners of this Main Match and will each be given a ToL and 8 Garnets. If a solo player wins (with 2 surviving bots, or with 1 bot and Kiryu-bot), then that player will be considered the sole winner and receive 2 ToLs and 12 Garnets.
The Elimination Candidate will be the player whose bots have won the least combined Pyrite (garnet equivalent in The Genius Simulation). In other words, this is the player whose bots have won the least combined Main Matches and Death Matches. If tied, then the winner(s) will decide the EC.
Example Simulated Main Match/Death Match
Main Match: 1-2-3 Game
Win Condition: (Charisma [Persuasion x1.5], Logic) - 2 Bots with the highest combined total
(ex. if a bot has 120 Charisma and 93 Logic, score would be 213. If the bot had Persuasion as the specialization for Charisma, score would be 273.)
Lose Condition: (Relationship) - 2 bots with lowest attribute, first Competitive then Cooperative
(ex. if a bot has 80 Relationship with the Cooperative specialization, it would be picked after another bot with 120 Relationship with a Competitive specialization)
Death Match: Black & White II
Win Condition: (Luck [Intuition x1.5], Logic) - Bot with the highest combined total wins
