Main Match 4: Dragoneering Defenders
Summary:
Players will work together while they decide amongst which dragoneering adventures to go on in a quest to slay dragons where they can win the hearts of Maidens and Knights and obtain Renown in nearby towns. At the end of the game, each town will award victory points to the two players with the highest Renown in their location, but Maidens and Knights can be sent to other towns to steal Renown from other players.
Gameplay:
In this game, there will be 6 rounds. During these rounds, you will make selections of Dragons that you would like to attempt to do battle with. There will be 3 Dragons who are threatening 2 towns each at any given time. After a Dragon is slain, another will appear in its place.
Every player will begin with a Health Stat of 15 and an Attack Stat of 2.
Each Dragon will have a Health Stat and an Attack Stat that will be factored into the battle. Every Dragon slain will have a Renown Stat for the towns that it was threatening which is equal to its Health Stat + Attack Stat. Additionally, some Dragons will have a Garnet Stat.
In order to defeat a Dragon, the players battling the Dragon must have a total Attack Stat that is greater than the Dragon’s Health Stat. The Dragon’s Attack Stat will be divided by the number of players that battle the Dragon, then it is rounded down and subtracted from the Health Stat of each player in the battle.
In your submission, you must select 2 of the following 4 actions:
These moves occur in the order that they are numbered above. A player can spend 4 garnets to perform a 3rd action, and can even choose one of their earlier actions to perform a 2nd time for this selection. If a player does not submit, they will be considered to train and rest for their turn.
If your Health Stat is ever reduced to 0, then you may only select Rest and no other action for your following submission. Additionally, any remaining actions you have for the current round will not happen. For sake of order, a normal Dragon attack action will take place before a garnet Dragon attack action.
If you select a Dragon to Attack, you must also specify whether you are fighting for Glory or Clout. Whichever you select, you will only be rewarded if enough players attend the battle to successfully defeat the Dragon.
Fighting for Glory will earn you Renown in the two towns that the Dragon was threatening based on the Renown Stat of the Dragon slain divided by the number of players who do battle with it, rounded down.
Fighting for Clout will gain you 1 Knight or 1 Maiden based on your selection (These two options are identical, but are merely a preference).
Whether you select Glory or Clout, you will gain an amount of garnets equal to the Dragon’s Garnet Stat divided by the number of players who do battle with it, rounded down.
Additionally, if you Fight for Glory, then you will always gain Renown in Port Cila regardless of which towns the Dragon is threatening. This is because Port Cila is a major hub where merchants and travelers frequent from the other towns, so your name will spread in this location no matter where your glorious triumphs take place.
Each player can spend 4 garnets to obtain 1 Knight or 1 Maiden, but this can only be done once per player per game.
During round 6, you should allocate where all of your Knights and Maidens will go to steal Renown. If your Health Stat is reduced to 0 during round 6, then you will skip sending Knights and Maidens to towns. You may not attempt to gain any new Knights or Maidens in round 6 - you may only Fight for Glory in the final round.
Note that Knights and Maidens are identical in effects: They will steal 1 / 3 of the Renown from a selected player in a selected town, rounded down. If multiple Knights or Maidens are sent to target the same player in the same town, then they will proceed one after another in alphabetical order starting from the player whose name comes after the targeted player.
For example, a player with 15 Renown would have 5 stolen from the first Knight then 3 Renown stolen by the second. If a player chooses to send more than 1 Knight or Maiden to a single target, then they will progressively be added to the bottom of the order. The alphabetical order is illustrated below.
Eevee > Gemini > JohnAlwin > Jweizy > Shane > Tiac > Zac > Eevee
For example, if Grunkle Reds Symyro and Andy are playing, here is how their Maidens would proceed. Assume that Andy and Sym have sent 1 each to steal Renown from Grunkle, and Reds has sent 2. The order that the Maidens would steal Renown will be Reds -> Sym -> Andy -> Reds
In this game, each player’s Health Stat, Attack Stat, and Renown at each town will be private. The 3 Dragons, however, will have public Health Stat, Attack Stat, Garnet Stat, and towns threatened. It is also not public which players attend which battles, since each of you are fighting from a different angle around the giant Dragon. You will be told what the result for the Dragon you battle is at deadline including whether the Dragon has been slain, how much Damage you took, how many garnets you obtained, and how much Renown you gained in each town.
Note 1: If a dragon is not slain, it will persist into the next round with its Health Stat reduced by the total Attack Stat that was used against it. Its Renown is unchanged and is based on the original Health Stat.
Note 2: In instances where something is rounded down, it will always have a minimum of 1.
Results:
At the end of the game, it is revealed what everyone’s Renown is in every town. The player with the highest Renown in a town will be awarded with the town’s high victory points, while the player with the second highest Renown there will be awarded with the town’s low victory points. If two players are tied for highest Renown, then they will both earn the town’s low victory points. If three or more players are tied for highest Renown, then they will each earn 1 victory point. For details on the Stats for high victory points and low victory points of each town, see the world map below:

Blazelands - High 4, Low 6
Copperton - High 6, Low 4
Earhart - High 5, Low 5
Edina - High 4, Low 4
Pokket Village - High 5, Low 5
Rokka Village - High 7, Low 3
Port Cila - High 8, Low 5
Victory points are tallied and announced to show the final result. The two players with the highest victory points will obtain Tokens of Life for themselves, while the two players with the lowest victory points will be the two Elimination Candidates, with the higher of the two having priority pick.
If 3 or more players tie for highest victory points, then the players with highest garnets among them will be the 2 winners. If this is inconclusive, then the players whose Knights and Maidens have stolen the most Renown in total will be the winners. If this is inconclusive, then the players who have taken the least damage in total will be the winners. If this is inconclusive, then all ToLs are voided.
If 2 or more players tie for lowest victory points, then the top winner will select the 2 Elimination Candidates and their pick order. If there was not a top winner, then lowest garnets amongst the lowest victory points players will be the tiebreaker. If this is inconclusive, then the players who have stolen the least Renown with Knights and Maidens will be the ECs. If this is inconclusive, then the players who have taken the most damage in total will be the ECs. If this is inconclusive, then all non-lowest-tying players must unanimously decide the ECs and their picking order. If all players are equally tied as highest and lowest, then the Main Match will start over from the beginning with possible modifications.
Example Submission:
Let’s assume that there is a Lava Dragon which is threatening Rokka Village and Pokket Village. This Lava Dragon will have a Health Stat of 8 and an Attack Stat of 12. This means that its Renown Stat can be calculated to be 20. There is also a Leaf Dragon with a Health Stat of 6 and an Attack Stat of 10, and he is threatening Edina and Blazelands. His Renown will be 16.
Player Andy decides to fight Lava Dragon for Clout while his Attack Stat is 2 and his Health Stat is 8. They select to earn a Knight if his Fight for Clout succeeds.
Player Grunkle decides to fight the Lava Dragon for Glory while his Attack Stat is 4, boosted from 2 because he ate a hearty meal yesterday, and his Health Stat is 4.
Player Symyro decides to fight the Lava Dragon for Glory while his Attack Stat is 3 and his Health Stat is 10.
Player Reds decides to fight the Leaf Dragon for Clout while his Attack Stat is 5 and his Health Stat is 10. Reds would like to fight for a Maiden.
The Lava Dragon is slain, and Andy Grunkle and Symyro are each told this result. They are informed that they have taken 4 damage to their Health Stat. Grunkle and Sym are informed that they have gained 6 Renown in each of Rokka Village, Pokket Village, and Port Cila. Andy is informed that she has gained 1 Knight. Grunkle’s Health Stat has reached 0, and as a result must rest in the upcoming round.
The Leaf Dragon, however, was not slain. This is because it received 5 damage while it had a Health Stat of 6. In the upcoming round, the Leaf Dragon will still be there but it will have a Health Stat of 1. Additionally, Reds has taken 10 damage to his Health Stat as a result of being the only player fighting this Dragon. He is reduced to 0 and will have to rest in the upcoming round before he can fight again.
Now that the Leaf Dragon is weak, it can be slain with as few as any 1 player. However, its Attack Stat is still 10, and recall that Andy’s Health Stat should now be at 4 from the previous battle and Sym’s will be at 6. So, if any of the remaining players were to Attack it alone now, then it would reduce them to 0. Andy and Sym can plan to fight this Dragon together as 2, which would result in Andy being reduced to 0 while Sym would be reduced to 1.
Let’s assume that the final round has arrived and these were the only Dragons that were used. Andy chooses to send his 1 Knight to steal Renown from Grunkle in Rokka Village. Grunkle has 6 Renown, so Andy will steal 2 reducing Grunkle to 4 in that town. The final results are as follows (Port Cila and the rest of the towns are not shown in this example, but they would all be present in the actual match):

Because of this result, Sym will obtain the high of 7 from Rokka while Grunkle will receive the low of 3. Sym and Grunkle have tied for the points in Pokket, so they will each earn the low of 5.
With 12 points total, Sym is the highest scoring winner and earns a ToL. Grunkle also has a ToL from having the second highest points with 10. Reds will be low pick EC, and Andy will be high pick EC.
Clarification: If you spend garnets and choose to attack Dragons twice, you cannot select the same Dragon twice
Clarification: All Knight and Maiden steal actions are processed simultaneously. If two players try to steal from each other, it would happen in the same step assuming they each had priority on each other. If they did not have priority, they will steal in the order that players have priority. So each step will happen simultaneously but in steps.
Essentially, if you are 3rd in priority, then you will steal on the 3rd stealing step simultaneous with anyone else who is 3rd in priority. This resolved the situation where two players target each other
Clarification: Combined attack stat must be equal to or greater than Dragon's health stat to defeat
Addendum: Per spectator request, the reason you cannot tell who else is fighting your Dragon with you is because you are all participating in masquerading. When you are all battling with your masks on, you cannot tell who the other heroes are
