And the Death Match chosen is a strategy game called...

Tic Tac Five

The objective of this game is to simply, make five in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in a straight line. The game will be played on a 15x15 board, with counters being placed on the intersection of lines, and not the spaces on the board.. The player who was chosen as the Death Match Opponent (DMO), will decide who will go first. The player that goes first will place their colour counter on any intersection, not square, on the board, and then the turn will go to the next player. For this game, the intersections of the board will be labelled as coordinates.

The board:

Players will alternate turns until one player achieves five in a row. Only a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line will be a valid win. Having a row of more than five is also valid.

There is also an additional rule to this game, and it is the double open triple rule. You may not put down a counter if it will create two three in a rows that are both open-ended.

In the example, Black may not place a stone on M10, as that will create 2 rows of 3 stones which have no stone placed on either side

In addition, there is another new rule. This will be the OPENING RULE. The first player (chosen by DMO) will start the game by playing the first three moves (placing Black, White, Black).

The next player will then choose which color they wish to play as. If they decide to play as black, the other player (the one who placed the first three stones) will be white and place the 4th stone and the game officially starts. If they decide to play as white, they will place the 4th stone down and the game will start.

This was implemented to prevent giving a player with the opening move too much of an advantage.
