Here are some potential rules for a game called "Genius Game 95" where players bet on and influence the outcomes of a Genius ORG.
This Main Match takes place over 6 rounds, simulating an entire Genius ORG along the way. Each round is a single episode of the Genius ORG. Betting and influencing this Genius ORG is the key to winning this Main Match.
"Genius Game 95" is the 95th installation of the "Genius Game" series. We have collected 13 talented individuals to compete in a set of high-stakes, mentally challenging Main Matches and Death Matches. Who do you think is going to win? Who do you think will go all the way? And how much are you willing to do to ensure your predictions come true?
There are 6 episodes in Genius Game 95. In the first two episodes, 3 players are eliminated. In the next two episodes, 2 players are eliminated. In the final two episodes, 1 player is eliminated, with the final episode having a unique structure.
Each episode (other than the Finals) has a Main Match and a single Death Match. The Main Match determines who wins the Tokens of Life, which grant immunity from the Death Match, as well as who are the Elimination Candidates, players who are sent to the Death Match. The Elimination Candidates then each choose a Death Match Opponent to play in the Death Match to see who is eliminated from Genius Game 95.
The 13 brilliant players who have been casted to Genius Game 95 are as follows:
During the first round, players will draft three participants in Genius Game 95, and designate one of those participants as their "winner-pick." These are the three Genius Game 95 participants they believe will make it the farthest.
At the end of the game, for each player you draft, you earn points equal to (13 - that players' placement). If your winner-pick wins Genius Game 95, you earn an additional 10 points.
If multiple players have an identical draft of three participants (regardless of whether they winner-pick the same person or not), the number of points they earn from their draft will be divided by the number of players who have that same draft. That is, if 4 players draft the same three participants, all points earned from drafting are divided by 4.
Each round, players will be told the name of the Main Match as well as the Death Match being played in this episode, as well as how many Tokens of Life are available. They will then be provided with 5 chips. Chips do not carry over round to round.
Players may also convert 2 points they have into 1 chip, up to a maximum of 3 times per round.
Then, players will be able to make a prediction, scout the participants, as well as influence the game.
Each round, you may make a prediction on who wins the Main Match and/or who gets eliminated. You may make multiple predictions each round.
For a Main Match prediction, you simply must submit the name of the participant that you believe will win a Token of Life that episode. For an elimination prediction, you simply must submit a name of a participant that you believe will both be in the Death Match and will lose the Death Match that episode.
Each prediction costs you 1 chip to make. For correct Main Match predictions, you earn 3 points. For correct elimination predictions, you earn 5 points.
In the final episode, the only prediction you can make is who you think will win the Finals. For a correct Finals prediction, you earn 7 points.
Each round, players may also scout a participant's abilities and personalities. This is a real-time query — to do so, players spend 1 chip and can then ask any one question to a Genius Game 95 participant of their choice.
Each round, players also have access to multiple different types of powers that can ultimately influence the game.
These powers come in three categories: spec leaking, spec practice, and bad mouthing. Each action costs 1 chip to do, and you may take multiple of the same or different actions.
With the power of spec leaking, players can choose one Genius Game 95 participant to spec leak to. This participant will have a much better grasp on the social situation of the game than they probably should.
However, if more than one player chooses to spec leak to the same Genius Game 95 participant, that participant will be discovered to be cheating and will be forced to become an Elimination Candidate.
With the power of spec practice, players can choose one Genius Game 95 participant to spec practice with, as well as a game they'd like to practice with them. This participant will become a master at this game due to the extra practice afforded to them.
When choosing to spec practice, you cannot choose the Death Match that is being played in the current episode, as the rules to it will not have been released.
With the power of bad mouthing, players can choose one Genius Game 95 participant to bad mouth in the spec lounge and to others. This participant will then take massive psychic damage despite not even having access to the spec lounge because Genius ORGs are just psychological torture like that. They will lose their confidence and feel the judgmental eyes of the spectators that always seem impossible to impress.
If too many players all bad mouth the same Genius Game 95 participant, they will take so much psychic damage that they may withdraw from the game. All players who bad-mouthed a participant who withdraws will lose points equal to twice the number of players who bad-mouthed that participant because of karma. Be nice.
At the end of round, the details of who won and lost the Main Match are revealed, as well as the DM matchups. Then, who won each DM is revealed, ultimately eliminating certain players from Genius Game 95. You will be privately told how many points you have.
How it is determined which players win and lose during each episode is not revealed to you at this time. What I will say is this — there are things certain participants are good at and certain participants are bad at. They all have their unique talents and personalities that will play a part.
Their natural abilities combined with your influence will determine the course of Genius Game 95.
The player with the most points wins 2 Tokens of Life. The player with the second and third most points wins 1 Token of Life. The player with the least amount of points is EC.
