The Third (and hopefully first played to completion) Deathmatch is….

BETTING ROCK PAPER SCISSORS!

In betting RPS, there shall be 12 rounds, 9 of them will be played with the non-DM competitors, and the other 3 will be played with Virtual Players. Each of the 9 non-DM competitors will pm me Rock, Paper, or Scissors beforehand, and that will be used in the game.

In the beginning of round 1, Landon, as the person picked for the DM, will pick if he wishes to play against the opponent, or bet on the result. This alternates every round, with Swiggle doing it in the even-numbered turns. The player who plays will play either rock, paper, or scissors (in pm) and then the betting player will have to bet on the result. You may bet on the DM candidate winning the match or losing it. In the case of a draw, the chips bet will go back to the better. If you lose the bet, you lose your chips. If you win, you get your chips back and doubled. You must bet unless you have no chips. You will start with 1 chip each.

If you play and win, you get chips depending on how far along we are in the rounds. In rounds 1-3, you gain 1 chip, 4-6, 2 chips, 7-9, 3 chips, 10-12, 4 chips. If you lose or tie, you gain nothing.

The virtual players will have their card known publicly beforehand, and their spot will be randomized with the rest of the non-DM competitors. The card (they used cards in the show for Rock, Paper, and Scissors) the non-DM competitor played will be shown after the bet is made and the opponent plays their card.

Players may tell the DM candidates what they picked.

Also, if there is anything that I left out or is unclear in this explanation, please tell me, it’s 11pm and my writing skills may be very off.

I will post the order shortly, and we will schedule this when all picks have been made.

I will now reveal the 3rd Death Match.

In this game, you will choose to play or bet on the result of rock, paper, scissors with the 9 spectators. The player with more chips at the end will win the game.

The 9 spectating players will have their order decided randomly. When the spectator's order has been decided, they will each choose a rock, paper or scissors sign privately in their confessional.

Both death match players will start with 1 chip each.

In each round you will either play or bet on the result of the game.

The player chosen as the death match opponent will be the starting player in round 1 and will the starting player will alternate every round.

The starting player will choose to play or bet, and the following player will get the option that wasn't chosen.

The player that plays will post in their sign choice in their confessional. Then the player betting will publicly bet on this thread on the result: win, lose, or draw.

After the bet, the results will be shown:

The Death Match Player playing who wins against the spectator will earn chips based on the current rounds:

In Rounds 1, 2 and 3, you will earn 1 chip.

In Rounds 4, 5 and 6, you will earn 2 chips.

In Rounds 7, 8 and 9 you will earn 3 chips.

You do not need to bet if you have no chips.

For The Death Match Player that bets:

If you guessed the results of a win or a loss correctly, you will get double the amount of chips you bet.

If you were wrong, your chips are forfeited.

If it's a draw, you will get back the chips that you bet.

However if you bet on a draw correctly, you will get triple the amount of chips you bet.

The player with more chips at the end of 9 rounds will be the winner and take their opponent's Garnets.

Betting Rock Paper Scissors

Betting RPS is a high stakes psychological game where players compete to earn the most chips.

Each player starts with 1 chip. The starting player will be determined by a coinflip. Afterwards, the starting player will alternate.

In a given round, the starting player will decide to play or bet.

If a player decides to play, they will "compete" against an Eliminated Player in a game of rock paper scissors. (The Eliminated Player will always play what is pre-determined on their chosen card). You will choose 1 of rock, paper, and scissors. If you win...

in rounds 1, 2, and 3 you earn 1 chip

in rounds 4, 5 and 6 you earn 2 chips

in rounds 7, 8 and 9 you earn 3 chips

in rounds 10 and 11 you earn 4 chips.

If there are extra rounds, you earn 5 chips in extra rounds 12 and 13.

Your opponent will bet on the outcome.

If you chose instead to bet, your opponent will play and you will gamble chips on the result.

You may distribute as many chips as you like on each of win, tie, or lose.

If your opponent WINS, then you receive double the chips on win (bet 3, get 6 back). If your opponent LOSES, then you receive double the chips on lose (bet 3, get 6 back). If your opponent TIES then you receive triple the chips on tie (bet 3, get 9 back), and the chips on win and lose are returned to you.

The player with the most chips after round 11 is the winner (unless the extra rounds item is played, in which case it is after round 13)

Order of players are as follows:

The third Death Match is…

Betting RPS.

In Betting RPS, players will either be playing against, or betting on the results of, rock, paper, scissors games against the safe contestants.

This game will consist of 10 rounds. The spectating players will each draw lots to determine which round they will be played against. After this, the spectating players will pick one of rock, paper, or scissors. The spectator’s choices cannot be changed after they make their decision. It is their choice whether or not they want to divulge the symbol they chose, and to whom.

The two players will start with one chip each, and in each round, they will either play Rock, Paper, Scissors, or bet on the results of the game. In each round, the starting player will choose either to Play or to Bet. The following player will then take the option not chosen. In other words, if the starting player decides to Play, the following player must bet on the results. The DMO will decide who starts for Round 1, and after each round, players will take turns as the starter.

When Playing, a player will have to play either rock, paper, or scissors against the spectating player. After placing a card down, players will earn chips if they win.

In rounds 1, 2, 3, and 4, they will earn 1 chip. In rounds 5, 6, 7, and 8, they will earn 2 chips. And in rounds 9 and 10, they will earn 3 chips.

When Betting, a player must bet at least 1 chip on whether their opponent will win, lose, or draw. In the event they have no chips, they do not need to bet. After successfully betting on the outcome of the match, a player will get double the amount of chips they bet. However, if they are wrong, their entire bet will be taken away.

If the game results in a draw, the player will get all chips they bet incorrectly back. However, if a player bets correctly on a draw, they will get triple the amount of chips they bet.

The player with more chips at the end of the ten rounds will win the Death Match and move on to the next round of the game, whereas the player with fewer chips will be the 3rd eliminated contestant of The Genius: Code Breakers.
