DETECTIVES AND CRIMINALS
In this game, players will secretly and randomly be assigned to two teams: Detectives, and Criminals. They will not know who the other players on their team are, and private communications will be PROHIBITED in this MM. Everyone will talk in the main chat (to be created)
The first player to publicly receive 4 votes will be the first person to have the suitcase. You will vote for someone by saying I vote person in bold.
If no one has 4 votes after 24 hours, whoever has the most garnets will start with the suitcase.
When someone has the suitcase, they may choose to pass it to any player who has not yet had the suitcase.
When you pass the suitcase, you must reveal your alignment. Each player up to 24 hours if necessary to pass the suitcase (earlier is preferred ).
If four players are revealed as detectives, then the spy guessing phase begins and the detectives receive the advantage.
If four players are revealed as criminals, then the spy guessing phase begins and the criminals receive the advantage.
As you might guess, both sides have a SPY.
The detectives have a Detective Spy, who is a detective but, when passing the suitcase, is revealed as a criminal. The detectives know the name of the Detective Spy.
The criminals have a Criminal Spy, who is a criminal but, when passing the suitcase, will reveal themselves as a detective. The criminals know the name of the Criminal Spy.
In the spy guessing phase, each team will vote in their submissions channel who they think is the spy on their team. (The detective spy will secretly vote for who they think the criminal spy is, and the criminal spy will secretly vote for who they think the detective spy is even as they present themselves as the opposite alignment). If a team guesses the spy correctly, they win the game. If both teams guess the spy, the team with the advantage wins the game.
If there is a 2-2 vote, then the spy gets away. If you as an individual guess the spy correctly, you receive 3 garnets as reward.
The players on the winning team will receive 4 garnets each and a TOL.
The player on the losing team who PASSED the suitcase at the latest point in a time becomes EC.
Pulling Aside
At any point in the game once per game, you may spend 5 garnets and choose another player to pull aside. If you do, you will be able to talk to that player in your 1on1s, but the fact that you pulled that player aside will be announced to everyone. (You can just publicly announce that you're pulling aside a player and talk to them immediately providing you have the funds to do so)
Role Cards - When you get your roles, they will look something like one of the below.
You are a detective! You know that [Sam] is the detective spy. Reveal yourself as a detective when you pass the suitcase.
You are the detective spy! Reveal yourself as a criminal when you pass the suitcase (but you win with the detectives).
You are a criminal! You know that [Pixie] is the criminal spy. Reveal yourself as a criminal when you pass the suitcase.
You are the criminal spy! Reveal yourself as a a detective when you pass the suitcase (but you win with the criminals).
