DM8 - Gobblet

Setup

The game is based on a 4x4 board, each player has 12 gobblets, 3 of each of the 4 sizes positioned off the board such that 3 stacks of ascending size are created

It is labelled such that your inventory is labelled as spaces X, Y and Z and each row is A-D with column being referred to by numbers 1-4

The DMO will choose who goes first in the first round and what color they will use

Subsequent rounds the previous rounds loser will decide who goes first

It is the first to 2 wins

Turn

On your turn you have 3 possible actions

  1. Moving a gobblet from the top of a stack off the board to an empty space on the board
  2. Moving a gobblet from on the board to an empty space on the board or on top of a smaller piece on the board
  3. If your opponent has 3 in a row you may move an off the board gobblet to cover a smaller on the board gobblet in that line

After a turn is made if either player has a 4 in a row that player wins the round, if both players have a 4 in a row then turn player loses

If both players decide the game is at a stalemate then the game will be reset

Gobbling

When a piece is on top of another piece the piece underneath is not active and cannot be used for a 4 in a row or moved however if the piece on top of the stack is moved the next pieces underneath stay there and the top one becomes active

Time

Each player has 2 mins per turn and reserve time of 5 minutes, if you go over 2 mins on your turn from when i post the boardstate then 30 seconds from your reserve time will be added onto your time, if a player runs out of reserve time then subsequently going over time will forfeit the round, the reserve time is for the entire dm

Winning

The winner of the dm is the first to 2 wins
