MM3: Forced Seat Exchange

In this awesome Main Match, relive the glories of THE GREATEST PLAY IN GENIUS HISTORY by roleplaying as Grunkle Squeaky, his friends, and his enemies in this social deduction game.

Forced Seat Exchange is set up in very much the same way as Seat Exchange — players attempt to make streaks of exactly 5 by swapping people in seats. However, in this twist version of the game, not only are there power roles with different win-cons, you know what number each person is, but not their identity. There is also no X in this game. Bananas don't have rights.

The 10 players that you can swap in Forced Seat Exchange are named: Amelia, Ben, Charlie, Daisy, Emilia, Foster, Grunkle, Heather, Ian, and Shaun. They are each secretly assigned a number at the start of the game.

There will be a maximum of just 4 rounds in this MM. The main mechanic of the Main Match is swapping. Each round, players can submit 1 or 2 swaps, each with a different priority. Priority is any number in the range [1, 50]. After collecting all of the submissions, first, all priorities that have more than one swap assigned to it are ignored. That is, if two swaps have the same priority, neither execute. Then, starting from the swap with priority 1 and ending with the swap with priority 50, the swaps are executed.

You may spend 5 garnets for an extra swap (third, fourth, etc.). You can use this garnet ability multiple times a round.

Normie players aim to win the game by being the last swap responsible for making a streak of exactly five — that is, due to your last swap, a streak of five is formed. Your swap need not include one of the players that make up the streak; you just have to be the last swap that results in a streak of five being formed.

When a streak of five is formed at the end of a round, this Main Match immediately ends.

Example, using a streak of 3 and 7 seats:

Currently, the seats are arranged 1-3-2-5-6-4-7. If a swap of (3, 6) is executed, then a swap of (2, 3), then a swap of (6, 2), the player who made the (6, 2) swap is the winner.

If a swap of (5, 4) is executed, then a swap of (2, 3), then a swap of (7, 4), then a swap of (6, 5), then the player who made the swap of (7,4) (and reduced the streak from 4 to 3) is the winner.

If no streaks of exactly 5 are formed throughout the game, then the normie player who made the last swap responsible for making a streak of exactly four or six is the winner. If no streaks of 4 or 6 are formed throughout the game, no one wins through this win condition.

All 8 normie players will also each receive information about which one player is which one number.

Additionally, there are power roles in Forced Seat Exchange, that all their specific win-cons and lose-cons. These players cannot win by creating streaks. I will describe these below.

GRUNKLE — The god himself, he earned major fame for "the play of the century" — force-swapping with Shaun. In this roleplay, Grunkle wins the game if they are able to correctly force-swap themselves with Shaun. They lose if they fail to achieve this by the end of the MM.

SHAUN — A victim of Grunkle, who needed to be sacrificed for Grunkle's ascension. Shaun wins the game if they are able to avoid being force-swapped with Grunkle for the entire MM. They lose if they are force-swapped with Grunkle.

ANTI-GRUNKLE ALLIANCE — Even the greatest, awesome-est people have enemies envious of their power. 3 players will form the Anti-Grunkle alliance. These players win alongside Shaun, and lose if Grunkle achieves his goals.

GASLIGHTER — Some enemies are notorious, and will even attempt to gaslight the god. The Gaslighter wins the game if they are able to get Grunkle to force-swap Grunkle and themselves (the Gaslighter). They lose if they fail to achieve this by the end of the MM.

SPICYMAN33 — The Spicyman33 is all about the CONTENT. They want that HYPE CHAOTIC GAMEPLAY so that they can criticize praise Grunkle in their podcast. They win if there are at least 80 swaps successfully executed. They lose if less than 80 swaps are successfully executed throughout the course of the MM.

Shaun will learn what number they are.

The Gaslighter will learn what number they are.

No other power role will receive further information.

INFORMATION

I will tell you your role privately at the start of the MM. Your role will be private information that will not be distributed publicly by the dealers for the duration of the MM.

At the end of each round, I will simply display the final seat arrangements and longest current streak.

I will not reveal any individual swaps or priorities, except the last unique swap. I will reveal who made the last swap, which two numbers they swapped, and what priority it was submitted at.

If a streak of five is revealed, I will immediately end the game and declare all winners / losers.

SUBMISSIONS

Each round, submit a number of swaps. Specify two numbers to swap (do not specify two players to swap). Assign a valid priority value to each swap.

RESULTS

If you were a power role, you win a Token of Life if you succeed in your win-con.

If you were a normie, you win three Tokens of Life if you succeeded in being the last swap to make a streak of five.

If you were a normie, you win two Tokens of Life instead if you succeeded in being the last swap to make a streak of four or six.

The first Elimination Candidate is the normie that made the final swap that did not win a Token of Life.

The second Elimination Candidate is the power role that failed to accomplish their win-con. If there are multiple power roles that fail to accomplish their win-con, the winning power role(s) break the tie.

You satisfy the "Grunkle Squeaky win-con" for this MM if you made the second to last swap to make the winning streak.

Clarification: You do not know which number a player is. You just know the numbers, and what seats they correspond to :meaglywigly: it is the opposite of the original, basically.

Clarification: You satisfy the "Grunkle Squeaky win-con" for this MM if you made the second to last swap to make the winning streak.

Clarification: You must submit at least 1 swap. If you do not submit any swaps, I will randomize. :blobcatknife:

Clarification: You aren't actually in the game of Seat Exchange (unless you're Shaun or Grunkle or the Gaslighter). You just force swaps and cause chaos.

Clarification: Priorities must be integer values.
