In Three Towers, players predict and determine the light configuration of nine operable towers.

General and Setup

The game will be played over 6 rounds.

There are nine towers, labeled 1-9, arranged in a 3x3 space. There are three Tower attributes in this game: Towers of Radiance, Towers of Divinity, and Towers of Miracle. Each Tower will take on two attributes at once, according to the graphic shown below.

Each Tower has a Light. Lights have two modes: ON and OFF.

Lights and Power

Each round, players will be given a total of 5 Power with which they may assign to each of the nine Towers. Players may only assign each Tower either 0 Power or 1 Power.

Power cannot be stored or kept, and if any Power remains at the end of a round, it will be discarded; however, players may reserve an assignment of Power for the following round with this round’s Power.

Depending on these Power assignments, these Towers will, at the end of each round, resolve with a Power Score.

If at the end of a round a Towers’ Cumulative Score is

an EVEN NUMBER (i.e. 0 or 2), the Tower’s Light turns OFF.

an ODD NUMBER (i.e. 1 or 3), the Tower’s Light turns ON.

At the beginning of each round, all Towers’ Power will be set to zero.

Earning Points

There are three ways for players to earn points: through attributes, light configurations, declarations.

Attributes

Each round, players will choose two attributes from {Divine, Miracle, Radiant}.

For each Tower (1-9) with BOTH your attributes whose Light is turned ON for the round, you earn 1 point.

Light Configurations

A light configuration is a configuration of at least three Towers (tiles) depicting whether the Towers’ lights are on or off.

Each round, players will privately receive three light configurations. For each iteration of your light configuration(s) fulfilled in that round, you will earn 2 points. An iteration of a light configuration is defined by each unique set of tiles that fulfills the light configuration's requirements.

Iterations of your light configuration may be rotated and flipped.

The following images are two examples of light configurations a player might receive:

EXAMPLE A

EXAMPLE B

The former image is a light configuration of 4 Towers, whereas the latter image is a light configuration of 3 Towers.

The yellow tiles represent Towers with Lights that must be ON, and the black tile represents Towers with Lights that must be OFF, according to your light configuration, to earn points. White tiles do not represent anything; they may be Towers with Lights that are either ON or OFF.

If the above images are two of Spadez's light configurations and the Tower Lights at the end of the round are represented by the image above, then Spadez will earn 2 + 2 points from EXAMPLE A, for Towers 2458 and 2568, and 2 + 2 points from EXAMPLE B, for Towers 128 and Towers 238.

Declarations

In each round, players are also free to make up to three declarations on light configurations.

A declaration is a set of statements indicating whether Towers’ Lights are ON or OFF at the end of the round.

Declarations can contain any number of Towers, from 1 to 9, and an assignment of ON or OFF per Tower. You earn points based on the number of Towers included in your Declaration.

An example declaration encapsulating three Towers would be as follows: Declaration 1 - Tower 1 OFF, Tower 2 ON, Tower 3 OFF.

If at the end of the round Tower 1 is OFF, Tower 2 is ON, and Tower 3 is OFF, you will earn three points.

The entire declaration must be true to earn points from the declaration.

Additional Abilities

You can choose to apply a power once per round. However, besides the Miracle ability, powers are costly and require the use of garnets.

Radiance Ability: Select one player and select one light. You choose whether the player submits 0 or 1 for that light this round. This power requires a use of 3 garnets.

Divinity Ability: Select one of your light configurations. That light configuration becomes any light configuration (min: 3 Towers) of your choice. This power requires a use of 2 garnets.

Miracle Ability: Gain 1 garnet.

If more than one power is used on the same player, all powers of the same type used on that player will be fully negated.

Administration

At the end of each round, Tower Lights will be shown and all use of Powers will be publicly declared. Then, you will privately receive your light configurations in your submissions channel. Players’ points will also be publicly revealed round by round.

The player with the greatest number of points at the end of the Main Match wins. The player with the least points will be Elimination Candidate. Ties are broken by Gamewide Tiebreak.

Amendment: For light configurations, reflections are valid. I will edit the rules to reflect this.

Clarification: All declarations must be different.

Clarification: At the beginning of each round, all Towers’ Power will be set to zero.
