Picnic Game

In this Death Match, figure out the criteria for the picnic to bring the right objects. (Original design by an elementary school teacher, probably)

Designer(s): Non-original Game Match Type: DM (for 2 players)

In Picnic Game, each player will suggest items to bring on a picnic.

Player 1 and Player 2 will both say two words.

Those words will receive a ✅ or an ❌ depending on whether they are welcome on the picnic.

At any point, a player can buzz in and say guess and say 4 separate words in the next 40 seconds (time will be checked if the other player challenges the time taken).

If all of items are valid to bring on the picnic, then that player scores 2 points and the round is over.

Otherwise, the player loses a point for every answer that isn't valid.

The first player to 5 points wins the deathmatch.

Picnic Game modified rules: Before players suggest words, four words will be given; two that are accepted and two that are rejected.

Two minutes after one of the players says "pass" during a guessing period the guessing period will end and players may suggest items.

Even if you said pass you may still buzz in before two minutes are up.

Two minutes will not be checked to the second and only be based on discord timestamps at the time the message was received by host.

In Picnic Game V2, the host will say 4 words that are allowed to be brought to a picnic.

At any point, a player can buzz in, say guess and say 4 different words, not yet said in the round by the host nor the players, in the next 90 seconds (time will be checked if the other player challenges the time taken). If all of items are valid to bring on the picnic, then that player scores a point and the round is over.

If a player's answer is wrong, for every invalid word, the other player will receive one tenth of a point. If a player runs out of time, then the other player will receive 0.4 points.

After a player attempts an incorrect guess, then the host will give four more words that are allowed to be brought to the picnic. After 4 guesses, if neither player gets a correct answer then the round is junked.

The first player to 4 points wins picnic game V2. If neither player reaches 4 points, whoever has the most points after Round 10 expires wins the game.

If the pattern is dependent on the previous word, then the first word the host mentions will always be accepted to be brought on the picnic.

A "y' will be considered as a consonant in all cases where the pattern depends on consonants and vowels.

If both players say pass, or 2 minutes elapse, I will give out 4 more words.

Note that if either player makes a guess, the turn terminates early and I will give out 4 more words.

In Picnic Game, the host will say 4 words that are allowed to be brought to a picnic.

At any point, a player can buzz in, say guess and say 4 different words, not yet said in the round by the host nor the players, in the next 40 seconds (time will be checked if the other player challenges the time taken). If all of items are valid to bring on the picnic, then that player scores a point and the round is over. If no one buzzes in the next 90 seconds, the next set of words is issued.

If a player's answer is wrong, for every invalid word, the other player will receive one tenth of a point. If a player runs out of time, then the other player will receive 0.4 points total.

After a player attempts an incorrect guess, then the host will give four more words that are allowed to be brought to the picnic. After 20 words are given by the host, the round will be junked.

The player who has more points after the end of 10 rounds wins the game. If the extra rounds item is used, there will be 12 normal rounds.

If there is a tie where the game would end, then tiebreaker rounds will be entered. The extra rounds item cannot be used during the tiebreaker rounds.

If the pattern is dependent on the previous word, then the first word the host mentions will always be accepted to be brought on the picnic. Your guess will have to build off of the last word marked by the host.

For example, if the pattern is "begins with the last letter of the previous word" :

Host posts: checkers ✅ salami ✅ ice ✅ event ✅

Player buzzes in: bad wrong incorrect answer

Host: All words [bad, wrong, incorrect, answer] incorrect. Other player gains 0.4 points.

Host posts:

checkers ✅ salami ✅ ice ✅ event ✅

terrace ✅ end ✅ drying ✅ gather ✅

Player 2 buzzes in: red dome eraser revive

Host: Correct, player 2 gains 1 point.
