Picnic Game

TBD (Original design by an elementary school teacher, probably)

Designer(s): Non-original Game Match Type: DM (for 2 players)
Featured in: Genius Invitational

In Picnic Game, the host will say 4 words that are allowed to be brought to a picnic.

At any point, a player can buzz in, say guess and say 4 different words, not yet said in the round by the host nor the players, in the next 40 seconds (time will be checked if the other player challenges the time taken). If all of items are valid to bring on the picnic, then that player scores a point and the round is over. If no one buzzes in the next 90 seconds, the next set of words is issued.

If a player's answer is wrong, for every invalid word, the other player will receive one tenth of a point. If a player runs out of time, then the other player will receive 0.4 points total.

After a player attempts an incorrect guess, then the host will give four more words that are allowed to be brought to the picnic. After 20 words are given by the host, the round will be junked.

The player who has more points after the end of 10 rounds wins the game. If the extra rounds item is used, there will be 12 normal rounds.

If there is a tie where the game would end, then tiebreaker rounds will be entered. The extra rounds item cannot be used during the tiebreaker rounds.

If the pattern is dependent on the previous word, then the first word the host mentions will always be accepted to be brought on the picnic. Your guess will have to build off of the last word marked by the host.

For example, if the pattern is "begins with the last letter of the previous word" :

Host posts: checkers ✅ salami ✅ ice ✅ event ✅

Player buzzes in: bad wrong incorrect answer

Host: All words [bad, wrong, incorrect, answer] incorrect. Other player gains 0.4 points.

Host posts:

checkers ✅ salami ✅ ice ✅ event ✅

terrace ✅ end ✅ drying ✅ gather ✅

Player 2 buzzes in: red dome eraser revive

Host: Correct, player 2 gains 1 point.
