Kong's Seat Exchange

In this Main Match, forcefully exchange seats using money to create streaks.

Designer(s): ISamEI Match Type: MM (for 13 players)
Featured in: Genius Invitational

In Kong's Seat Exchange, each of the 13 players will receive a number from 1 to 13.

Every player is in a seat, arranged in a circle. Every round, the longest consecutive streak of numbers will be revealed. For example, if 13 was next to 1, 1 next to 2, 2 next to 3, and 3 next to 4, the longest streak could be revaled to be 5. The numbers wrap around, so 12 is adjacent to 13 which is adjacent to 1.

Trading

Unlike in regular seat exchange, players must spend money in order to force trades. Every round, players will receive $100. They may spend or save any amount.

Every round, you may attempt to pay for any number of trades to occur (as long as the sum of money spent on those trades are less than or equal to your current funds).

Players will only switch seats at most once per round. If two people pay for a trade that involves the same person, only the trade where the most money is spent goes through - but all players lose the money they bid regardless.

For example:

Jaekyung's submission: Doohee and Sangmin swap, $20

Doohee's submission: Doohee and Jaekyung swap, $10

Since Jaekyung paid more money for all trades involving Doohee and Sangmin, only Doohee and Sangmin would swap.

If you don't spend all your money in a round, it carries over to the next round.

If multiple people spend money on the same trade, then the money they spent on the trade is summed.

For example:

Jaekyung's submission: Doohee and Sangmin swap, $20

Doohee's submission: Sangmin and Jaekyung swap, $10

Sangmin's submission: Sangmin and Jaekyung swap, $15

Sangmin and Jaekyung would swap, because 10+15 = 25, and 25 > 20.

If there is a tie in money spent on a trade involving the same person, neither swap will occur.

You are also allowed to swap a player with themself. (I swap Jaekyung with Jaekyung for $5). Swapping a player with themself will count as a bid two times the value as normal. So if I spend $40 to swap Jaekyung with Jaekyung, someone must spend $81 dollars to outbid me. $80 or $79 would not be enough.

The player who paid for a successful trade will be revealed (but not how much they paid for it). If multiple players contribute to a successful bid, only the highest contributor will be revealed.

Tied bids fail, and are not announced.

Ending

There are two ways for the game to end:

1) After 4 rounds, the longest streak still isn't 6. Then the player with the most money is the winner and earns 2 tokens of life.

However, if there is a tie for the most money remaining, then those players tie for "last" and the person with the next-most amount of money earns 2 TOLs and must determine which of the those players is EC.

If there is no tie for most money remaining, then the loser will be the player with the least amount of money.

2) After a round, the longest streak is 6. Then all players involved in the streak earn 1 token of life. The loser will be the player with the least amount of money (of the players who did not win).

Either way, the winner(s) earn 3 garnets.

Good luck!
