MM8: Tonight's Winners (3 Players)

Any form of communication between eliminated players and remaining players is cut off as soon as the rules are revealed.

4 unique minigames were revealed to each player, starting with the most recently eliminated player. Each eliminated player chose a challenge that they are the most confident in. They have already performed in these games before the MM started and all of their results have been pre-recorded.

This Main Match is played live over 8 rounds. Each player will go through a garnet auction. The 2 highest bidders will play in a minigame, with the highest bidder going first. The other player will simply spectate. The minigames are in one of four categories: Linguistics, Observation, Memory, and Strategy.

Once both players play the minigame, the results are compared with an eliminated player's performance for that game. The eliminated player that it gets compared for in that round will be equal to boot order. Whoever performs the best in the minigame will earn their bidded garnets multiplied by the payout while everyone else loses all their bid garnets; if the eliminated player wins however, the lowest bidder will earn the garnets instead.

Additionally, your host Gold has played in one of the categories for a round instead of an eliminated player. This round has been randomly determined in order, and can appear anywhere.

Winning each round will award a finals item.

At the end of the Main Match, whoever has the most Garnets will move onto finals, while the other 2 will play in the Death Match.

Clarification: Tied bids are broken by whoever has bid a higher proportion of their current garnets.

Clarification: You cannot bid 0. If you have no garnets, you will simply be instantly a Death Match Candidate.

Important clarification: If any tie occurs beyond the tiebreak scenario for the minigame, it will be broken by order of highest bidder > 2nd highest > eliminated player.

Minigames

MEMORY

The Memory Minigame will involve a photo. The players will have 1 minute to look at the photo, which will then be hidden. Once the photo disappears, each player will have to answer 5 questions within 3 minutes. Whoever answers the most questions correctly will win the minigame. Each question also awards points corresponding to their question number; in case of ties, it is broken by these points.

LINGUISTICS

The Linguistics Minigame will be Word Grid/Boggle: a 4x4 grid of letters will be given, and players must form a path of orthogonal or diagonally connected letters to form words. Letters cannot be used twice. Players will have 5 minutes and each word given will grant points equal to the length squared.

Clarification: Minimum word length is 3, max word length is 8.

STRATEGY

The Strategy Minigame is 12 Janggi. Each player will have 5 minutes to play against a moderate level bot. If they win, they will beat any losing player. If multiple players win, ties are broken by time remaining. If they lose, ties are broken by number of moves it took them to lose.

OBSERVATION

The Observation Minigame is Gyul! Hap! Players will have 3 minutes to score as many points possible. Ties will be broken by amount of Gyuls.
