DM3: Rewind Hold'em

The game is played with a 40 card deck of 4 of each 1-10, and each player has 25 chips to begin the death match.

Every round, each player bets 1 chip as ante, and receives 1 card along with 2 open cards shared by both players. Players will only know the card that the opponent received and not their own. Starting with the DMO on round 1 and the loser of the previous round on subsequent rounds, players take 30 seconds betting with one of the 3 options:

A. Raise: bet more chips than the opponents, and pass it onto the other player.

B. Call: bet the same amount of chips, and end the betting.

C. Fold: Forfeit the round and not bet any more chips. This causes you to lose no matter what number you hold. The 2 open cards will be stored as your Rewind Cards. There can only be 2 Rewind Cards and if another fold happens, the old cards will be discarded.

Once the betting ends, both player's cards are revealed. Whichever player has the better hand will gain all the chips. The possible hands from highest to lowest are:

Triple: 3 of the same card

Straight: 3 consecutive cards numerically, with 10 and 1 being counted as consecutive (ex: 9-10-1)

Double: 2 of the 3 cards being same numerically

High Card: None of the 3 above hands being met

If both players have the same hand, the player with the higher card forming the hand will win. (ex. 2-2-3 will lose to 2-3-3)

If a player folds while they have a triple or a straight, they must forfeit an extra 10 chips to their opponent; if they fold with a double, they must forfeit 5.

Additionally, when a player starts the betting first, they can choose to Rewind. If a player chooses to Rewind, the current open cards are replaced with the player's Rewind Cards. If the bet is called, then the player that loses the round will forfeit chips equal to the amount of chips on the pot when the Rewind Cards were added.

The player to gain all the chips first will win the DM.

Clarifications about the deck: the deck will be 40 cards, 1-10, that are randomized by computer in random order then distributed. Once all 40 cards are used, a completely fresh deck is created that is newly randomized.
