MM2: Hop And Drop (9 Players)
The game is played on a 5x5 grid. Everyone starts on a square of their choice (this choice can collide) and you only know your own start position. The game will take place over 3 rounds.
Each round you must 'hop' (move) to 1-3 orthogonal squares,. If you move to the same spot that someone else landed on a past hop, you lose points equal to the amount of tiles you hopped at that point. If not, you gain 1 point for the first hop and increasing amount of points for each hop after. You cannot hop on any square you have been on this turn. (Ex: if you hop 3 times, and collide with someone on your 2nd hop, then you gain 1 point for the first, -2 points for the second, and 3 points for the third.) If both players collide on the same hop, they both lose points in the same way.
Additionally, you can spend 2 garnets to drop a square for the round. Anyone who moves to that square loses points equal to their hop number when they land on the square.
No information is revealed until the end, aside from every player's location and your own score, which is revealed privately.
The 2 highest scoring players will get a TOL, or 2 TOLs if they are the sole winner. All players will also receive garnets for every 2 points they receive. The lowest scoring player will be the EC.
Tiebreaker: Whoever is on the highest numbered square, with each square numbered 1 to 25.
AMENDMENT: You cannot step on the same square twice on the same round.
AMENDMENT: The wording is unclear, but only ties will cause multiple players to get TOLs.
