MM1: Hand Signals (10 Players)

The game takes place over 4 rounds, and each round every player must submit a left hand and a right hand signal. The left hand signal must be pointed at 2 targets, while the right hand will not be.

Every round, the players will receive points based on how many votes they recieved relatively. The median voted players will receive +3, then the player closest in either direction to the median after +2, then decreasing in value. Any ties count as one group and score the same. For example, if the 10 players get votes as such, the point values will equal:

  • 1 (+0)
  • 2 (+1)
  • 3 (+2)
  • 4 (+3)
  • 4 (+3)
  • 5 (+3)
  • 6 (+2)
  • 7 (+1)
  • 8 (+0)
  • 8 (+0)

After every round, point values will be revealed for that round but not the chosen signals for each player.

The Left Hand signal options are the following:

👆 Point Up: Gives +2 vote to the targeted player.

👇 Point Down: Gives -1 vote to the targeted player.

🤝 Handshake: If both players target each other mutually with a handshake, the higher voted player gives 1 vote to the other player. Otherwise, does nothing.

🤚 Palm: Stops a single player from targeting you for the rest of the game or until Palm is used again. Can only be used on one player at a time.

✊ Fist: Does nothing.

The Right Hand signals all require a certain amount of people to use the same signal in order to create the desired effect. The Right Hand signal options are the following:

✌️ Victory: Gives +1 point to all players that chose it. 6+ people required.

🖖 Vulcan: Gives -1 point to all players that chose Victory while nullifying their +1; if there are less than 6 people that chose Victory, gives -1 point to yourself. 3+ people required.

🤏 Silence: Makes all results of the round secret. 3+ people required.

🤌 Profit: Gives +1 garnet to all players that chose this signal. <3 people/9+ people required; subtracts 1 garnet otherwise.

✊ Fist: Does nothing.

There are also 2 special signals that require both hands, and can be only used one round in the game; whether these signals succeed or not, if a player chooses them, then any player cannot use them again in future rounds. The signals are:

👏 Clap: Reveal all hand signals used throughout the game every round. 10+ people required.

🙏 Pray: Gives +5 points; -3 points if it fails. 1 person required.

The player with the most points at the end will recieve 2 TOLs, and the player in last place will become the EC. All players will recieve +1 garnet for every 3 points, with no negative garnets.

MM6: Hand Signals 2 (5 Players + 5 Guests)

The rules are identical to MM1 but with the guests also playing. There are also several rule changes:

  1. Only player points count for garnets.
  2. Guests cannot earn garnets through profit, but can still use the signal.
  3. Silence is now a special symbol, requiring 2 hands and only being usable in one round total.
  4. Pray can now be used every round; it now grants +3 on success and -2 on failure. It still requires both hands.
  5. Most importantly, all pair chats between players will be disabled for this main match. The players will have to publicly communicate in each of their respective lounges. The only way players and guests can interact is through their partner pair chat; in other words, every player will only get 1 pair chat with their own guest partner, and can only talk to other players publicly. Guests, however, will have pair chats open with their respective partner as well as all other guests.
  6. Clap now only requires all 5 people in either the player lounge or the guest lounge to activate.
  7. 2 TOLs are given out: One for the highest scoring player, and one for the highest scoring guest. The highest scoring guest can transfer their TOL to their player partner.
  8. All partner identities are secret; you will not get to know who is partnered with who besides your own.
  9. The lowest scoring out of all 10 players/guests will become the EC; if a guest is EC, it will be transferred to the player. This overrides TOLs and if the player had a TOL, it is removed.
  10. The game takes place over 3 rounds.
  11. Any ties for EC are broken by how many garnets were spent to acquire the guest.
