Designer(s): RedsToad Match Type: DM (for 2 players)
Featured in: The Genius: PnP

Summary:

Guess the opponent's cards to get as many chips as you declared to win this DM!

Rules:

The game is split into 2 parts: Auction and Guessing. During the Auction phase, a player will declare how many chips they will need to win during the Guessing part. If they are able to achieve that goal, they win the DM, otherwise they lose.

As the game starts, players will participate in an open auction. Bidding starts at 10 and can increase in increments of 10.

If the bid amount reaches 1000, the increment for the bid becomes 50.

Players have 10 seconds to make their bid. If no bid happens in 15 seconds, the bidding ends. The player that made the highest bid wins and becomes the Guesser. The player that lost the bid becomes the Dealer.

The amount of chips bid is recorded and becomes the Declared Amount.

The game then proceeds into the second part, the Guessing.

The Dealer will be given 25 cards, labeled 1 - 25. The Guesser will be given 25 chips.

To begin, he Dealer picks one card to show the Guesser. From now on, the game is divided into 24 turns.

On each turn, the Dealer secretly picks one of their cards to use, while the Guesser bids a number of chips whether the card picked is higher or lower than the previous one. Players have 45 seconds to decide, with no reserve time.

Both submissions are revealed at the same time. If the guesser is correct in predicting which card the Dealer played, the Guesser receives double their bid. If they are incorrect, the bid is lost.

This repeats until all of the cards have been played, at which point the game ends.

If at the end of the game the Guesser has less chips than the Declared Amount, then the Dealer wins. If the Guesser has at least as many chips as the Declared Amount, the Guesser wins.
