Faulty GPS

In this Death Match, correctly identify which cell satisfies all the statements... except one.

Designer(s): e_is_cool Match Type: DM (for 2 players)
Featured in: Genius Game 4

There are 19 rounds, and whoever reaches 10 points wins the DM.

Each round of this game will feature a grid of colors. The following colors will be used:

{Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Black}

If anyone has trouble distinguishing between these colors, we can use a different color palette.

Each round, I will give a list of statements. These statements will be given from a reference point of at least one cell, facing in one of the four cardinal directions. Whoever first names a cell such that all except one of the statements is true, with a correct direction (north, south, east, west), wins a point for that round. If you are incorrect, you cannot answer for 30 seconds. Note that unique solutions are not guaranteed, but a solution is guaranteed.

Here are a few definitions:

North, south, east, and west are absolute directions. For example, the green cells are north of the black cell, and the yellow cells are south of the black cell.

As in the diagram, a space is not north, south, east, or west of itself.

Front, behind/back, left, and right are relative directions. They work similarly to the four compass directions, but are relative. Again, a space is not in front, behind/back, left, or right of itself.

"More" as a qualifier to a direction means that an object is further away in that direction. Similarly, "less" means that an object is closer, and "same/equal" means that the object is the same distance in that direction.

"Direct(ly)" as a qualifier to a direction means the cells in a direct line in that direction. For example, the green cells are directly north of the black cell.

A "step" refers to the distance between two adjacent cells. The following green cells are 2 steps away from the black cell. Note that the black cell is 0 steps away from the black cell.

"I/me/my" refers to the current cell.

Here is an example round.

There are at least 2 red squares behind me.

There is not a green square 1 step to my direct north.

There are no red squares to my right, nor on my current square.

Answer: D1, East

If five minutes pass and neither player has given a correct answer, the round ends. If 19 rounds pass and neither player reaches 10 points, the player with a higher score wins. If there is a tie, the DMO wins.
