In this Main Match, each player will be building defences in their dungeons to protect their treasures, while also equipping their hero to raid the other players dungeons - the weaker your hero, the stronger your dungeon, and vice versa. At the end of the game, the player with the most treasure is the winner!
Building Your Dungeon
Each player has the same set of 12 cards. Each card can be used as either a Monster, or as Equipment. Monsters are used to defend your dungeon, while Equipment makes your hero more powerful. Building your dungeon is simply a matter of deciding which cards to use as Monsters. The heroes will encounter the Monsters from lowest to highest level, but you may choose which is first for monsters of equal levels. Every leftover card will be Equipment, that is used to power up the hero. Furthermore, you must choose which fellow player will undertake the Final Raid of your dungeon. You may not choose yourself.
Building Your Hero
Additionally, each hero has two statistics - Mind and Body, as well as 5 points to distribute between them. Body functions as an armour power, reducing the number of damage taken at an encounter, while a high Mind skill can allow the immediate defeat of certain monsters as well as boosting the hero's starting HP. Your modified stats cannot go below 0.
Resolving the Raids
First, each player will raid the other six dungeons. They will encounter each Monster one at a time, in the order selected by that dungeon's builder. If a player has Equipment that can defeat the Monster, they will suffer no penalties. If they do not, they will lose the HP as depicted by the monster. This HP reduction will be reduced by 0.5 for each Body point the player possesses. Each player has (Mind + 1) HP, but Equipment can provide more. If a player drops to 0 HP, they will be knocked out of the raid, and take a Wound. Once every Monster in the dungeon has been encountered, all players that were not knocked out will take 1 treasure from that dungeon. Each player's dungeon begins with 6 treasures.
Once a raid is complete, all players will be healed to full HP, although they will still possess any wounds received. They will then tackle the next player's dungeon.
Once all seven dungeons have been raided by the other six players, each player will add all the treasures they managed to steal to the treasures that were not stolen from them. Then, each player's dungeon will then be raided by the nominated Final Raider. If the Final Raider manages to reach the end of the dungeon without dropping out, the Final Raider will take 50%, rounding up, of the treasures they find. This means if a player managed to build a dungeon that defeated 5 of the 6 challengers, and a hero that survived 4 of the 6 dungeons, they would have 9 treasures. If the Final Raider succeeded, they would steal 5 treasures from them. Losing the Final Raid does not incur a wound.
Poison
A hero may be poisoned on a raid. Poisoned heroes lose HP equal to the poison value at the conclusion of every encounter. This HP loss is unaffected by the Body statistic. If a hero is knocked out after the final encounter of a round due to poison, they both receive a wound and steal a treasure from that Dungeon.
Scoring
Each player with 3 or more wounds dies. Dead players lose all of their treasures. The player with the most treasures will be declared the winner, earning two Tokens of Life. If multiple players tie for 1st, they will all earn 1 Token of Life. Additionally, each player will earn 1 Garnet for every treasure they have in excess of 6 treasures. The player with the lowest score will be the Elimination Candidate, however.
